Hadith regarding Indifference towards this World, Detachment from the World, Observing Fast at the Day of Ashura, Wealth of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

In this blog I have written about Hadiths regarding Indifference towards this WorldDetachment from the World, Observing Fast at the Day of Ashura, Wealth of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Hadith no.1
Indifference towards this World

“We stopped with Abu Hashim bin ‘Utbah, who had been stabbed, and Mu’awiyah came to visit him. Abu Hashim wept and Mu’awiyah said to him: ‘Why are you weeping, O maternal uncle? Is there some pain bothering you, or is it because of this world, the best of which has already passed?’ He said: ‘It is not for any of these reasons. But the Messenger of Allah SAW gave me some advice and I wish that I had followed it. He SAW said: “There may come a time when you will see wealth divided among the people, and all you will need of that is a servant and a mount to ride in the cause of Allah.” That time came, but I accumulated wealth.’” [Ibn Majah 4103]

Hadith no.2
Detachment from the World

“The Messenger of Allah SAW said:
‘If you see a man who has been given indifference with regard to this world and who speaks little, then draw close to him for he will indeed offer wisdom.’ [Ibn Majah 4101]

Hadith no.3
Observing Fast at the Day of Ashura

"I never saw the Prophet SAW seeking to fast on a day that he favored more than another except this day, the day of 'Ashura', and this month, meaning the month of Ramadan." [Sahih Bukhari 2006]

Hadith no.4
Wealth of Prophet Muhammad SAW

"When the Messenger of Allah  SAW died, Fatimah sent word to Abu Bakr saying: Are you the heir of the Messenger of Allah SAW or are his family? He said: No, rather his family (are his heirs). She said: Where is the share of the Messenger of Allah SAW? Abu Bakr said: I heard the Messenger of Allah SAW say: `If Allah grants some wealth to a Prophet, then takes his soul. He grants it to the one who took charge after him.` So I have decided to give the benefit of it to the Muslims. She said: That is fine, and you know best what you heard from the Messenger of Allah SAW. Muhaqalah" [Masnad Ahmad 14]

Relativistic time mentioned in the Quran

In this blog, I have written about the verse of the Holy Quran in which Allah Almighty talks about the relativity of time. Translation of verse 5 of Surah As-Sajdah He conducts(governs) everything from the heavens to the earth, and then everything ascends to him on a day whose length by your reckoning is a thousand years. Explanation              The above-mentioned verse of the Holy Quran talks about a very famous concept in physics, which is the relativity of time, also known as time dilation. Late 19th and early 20th century scientists such as Lorentz, Emil Kuhn, Hermann Minkowski, Albert Einstein and many others theorized this concept, but Einstein made the greatest contribution. Time dilation deals with the fact that time is not absolute but relative. In general, time dilation is defined as how fast or how slow time will pass depending on the reference frame (accelerating/moving or non-accelerating/at rest or speeds much slower than...

Mention of the Verse of the Holy Quran which talks about time being relative

In this article, I wrote about the verse of the Quran, which mentions time being relative. Translation of Verse 47 of Surah Al-Hajj They challenge you, O Prophet, to hasten the torment(Day of Judgment/Doom's Day). And Allah will never fail in His promise. But a day with your Lord is indeed like a thousand years by your counting. Explanation                        At the beginning of this verse of Surah Al-Hajj, Allah says that the infidels challenge the Prophet Muhammad SAW in bringing the Day of Judgment or the Doom's Day before its actual time. They do so to see those punishments quickly, which they are promised by Allah for their misdeeds. It is also clearly mentioned in the second part of this verse that Allah will never fail in his promise which means that those people who have done misdeeds and disobeyed Allah will surely be punished on the day of Judgment. The last part of this verse talks about a concept in...
