Hadith no.331

Sahih Hadith Regarding Prohibition of Killing Women and Children during a War

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), seeing a slain woman in one of the battles, expressed his disapproval and forbade the killing of women and children. [Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal 5458]

Hadith no.332

Hadith Regarding Jihad being part of Faith/Hadith Regarding the Desire of Prophet Muhammad SAW to embrace martyrdom

Narrated Abu Huraira  Prophet said : 'The person who participates in (fighting) in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostles will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward or booty, or will be admitted to Paradise (if martyred). Had I not found it difficult for the people of my Ummah, then I would not remain behind any Army Unit going for Jihad and I would have loved to be martyred in Allah's cause and then made alive, and then martyred and then made alive, and then again martyred in His cause." [Sahih al Bukhari 36]

Hadith no.333

Hadith Regarding Prohibition of Looking into Someone's house without Permission

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

If a person were to cast a glance in your (house) without permission, and you had in your hand a staff and you would have thrust that in his eyes, there is no harm for you. [Sahih Muslim 2158b]

Hadith no.334

Sahih Hadith Regarding Reciting Surah Al Fatiha during Salah

Narrated Al-'Ala bin 'Abdur-Rahman:

from his father, from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever performs a Salat in which he does not recite Umm Al-Qur'an(Surah Al Fatiha) in it, then it is aborted, it is aborted, not complete." He Said: "I said: 'O Abu Hurairah! Sometimes I am behind an Imam.' He said: 'O Ibn Al-Farisi! Then recite it to yourself. For indeed I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: Allah, the Most High said: "I have divided the Salat between Myself and My slaves into two halves. Half of it is for Me, and half of it for My slave, and My slave shall have what he asks for. My slave stands and says: All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of All that exists." So Allah, Blessed is He and Most High says: "My slave has expressed his gratitude to Me." He says: "The Merciful, the Beneficent. So he says: "My slave has praised Me." He says: Owner of the Day of Reckoning. He says: "My slave has glorified Me. And this is for Me, and between Me and My slave is: It is You alone whom we worship and it is You alone from whom we seek aid" until the end of the Surah "This is for My slave and My slave shall have what he asks for." So he says: Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed your favor, not those with whom is Your wrath, now those who are astray."[Jami Al Tirmidhi 2953]

Hadith no.335

Sahih Hadith Regarding Adhan of Two people who are alone on a journey

It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwairith said:

"I came to the Prophet (S.A.W) with a cousin of mine" - on an another occasion he said: "with a companion of mine" - "and he said: 'When the two of you travel, call the Adhan and the Iqamah, and let the older of you lead the prayer.'" [Sunan Nasai 634]

Hadith no.336

Hadith Regarding Performing Ghusl

Narrated Abu Jafar: While I and my father were with Jabir bin Abdullah, some People asked him about taking a bath(ghusl). He replied, A Sa(One Sa=3 kilograms) of water is sufficient for you. A man said, A Sa` is not sufficient for me. Jabir said, A Sa was sufficient for one who had more hair than you and was better than you (meaning the Prophet). And then Jabir (put on) his garment and led the prayer. [Sahih al Bukhari 252]

Hadith no.337

Hadith Regarding the Dearest names to Allah

Ibn Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

The names dearest to Allah are 'Abdullah and 'Abd al-Rahman. [Sahih Muslim 2132]

Hadith no.338

Hadith Regarding time of Asr Prayer

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to offer the `Asr prayer at a time when the sun was still hot and high and if a person went to Al-`Awali (a place) of Medina, he would reach there when the sun was still high. Some of Al-`Awali of Medina were about four miles or so from the town. [Sahih al Bukhari 550]

Political Situation of the Ummah

A lot has happened around the world since the last time I wrote my article so I will try my best to address the main political issues that have been happening around the world. First I would discuss about Palestine. Since the beginning of this so called ceasefire not even a single day has passed without Israel violating the ceasefire. Hamas and Palestinian resistance fought very well against Israel for about two years. After which a ceasefire agreement was signed between Hamas and Israel which was mediated by Trump and some of the Muslim countries as well. Now when Israel is violating the ceasefire and martyring innocent Palestinians where are the Muslim countries who mediated this ceasefire? It was their job to protect their Muslim brothers but they instead of protecting their brothers were eager to protect the interests of the US and Israel for which they should be ashamed of. O leaders of the Ummah do not fear the US more than you fear Allah as Allah is the only from whom Muslims should fear. The Ummah should wake up from its slumber before it is too late and before the oppression that the people of Palestine are facing reaches to their countries as well.

The second issue which I would write on is about the situation in Yemen. The Saudis and the UAE for the last decade or so were fighting along side each other to crush the Yemeni resistance(mainly Houthis) and now after martyring so many innocent Yemenis they are fighting each other to gain influence in Yemen. I do not know much about the situation but as of now the Saudis have gained an upper hand and the UAE is starting to retreat a little. This is a good sign and probably one of the good things that the Saudis have done after a long time which is to fight against this menace known as the UAE which stabs the Ummah like a knife. The UAE has a history of sponsoring terrorist and militias which commit violence against Muslims and destabilize Muslim countries like Sudan and Somalia etc. Along with this they also have good ties with Israel. The UAE needs to be taught a lesson so that it can back away from its satanic ambitions. If I get back to the topic then in my opinion their should be reconciliation between the various Yemeni factions. The representative Yemeni factions should be allowed to decide the future of Yemen. The brave people of Yemen should be allowed to live with freedom and dignity. There shouldn't be any Saudi, Emirati, Iranian or any other sort of external influence as these countries have only fought a proxy war against each other in Yemen that has resulted in the destruction of Yemen and martyring of countless innocent Yemenis.

The third thing which I would discuss is the situation in Syria regarding the fight between SDF and the Syrian regime. I don't know much about the situation on ground but I think that the SDF should surrender. A settlement should be reached where the Kurds and rest of the minorities in Syria should be integrated in the New Syrian regime. They should have rights. The elements within the Syrian minorities which work to destabilize Syria should be identified and eradicated. Of course their should be freedom to criticize the Syrian regime and Ahmad Al Sharaa as no one is free from making mistakes but their shouldn't be violence in the name of protests. Similarly the Syrian regime should also be cautious in dealing with protests, political descent and difference of opinion. The Syrian regime should also comply with the rightful demands of those who criticize them and should not fullfil those demands which are unrightful. If they also commit violence against Protestors who are criticizing then they wouldn't be any different from the Al Assad regime. Various factions in Syria should be united under one banner to fight against a bigger enemy which is Israel but for this Syria should be united, strong and prosperous.

The fourth thing I would discuss is the protests in Iran. It is without a doubt that there are elements within these protests that are backed by the US and Israel to manipulate these protests inorder to destabilize Iran. They fear Iran and also don't want Iran to gain Nuclear weapons so they want to replace the Iranian regime with the Shah who is a puppet of US and Israel. Iranian economy is in turmoil because of heavy and unjust US sanctions.  While all of this is true that I have stated above is true are but the fact of the matter is that these protests have also something to do with some of the mistakes committed by the Iranian regime. The Iranian regime should deal with these protests cautiously and should listen to and comply with their rightful demands. Of course those elements promoting violence should be eradicated but not those who are protesting peacefully as according to Islam it is their right to stand up to their ruler if the ruler does something wrong. Iranian regime should also correct some of its mistakes and seek forgiveness from Allah for some of the sins that have been committed by them. It shouldn't deal with peaceful protestors harshly like it has done through our their history. The Iranian regime shouldn't fall and for it not to fall it should attain Nuclear weapons. It should also spend more time fighting Israel and the US rather then spending time creating chaos in other Muslim countries. Anyhow with all the differences I have with the Iranian regime I pray to Allah that they don't fall because if the Iranian regime falls then it would be bad for the Ummah, for the Palestinians, for the region and it would be beneficial only to the US and Israel.

The last thing which I would write on is the kidnaping of the Venezuela's President Maduro by the US. This is completely wrong and unjust but the US is fond of commiting such acts. As my article is getting too long so I would try to address this issue in a more detailed manner in the my next article. They have also done such things in Iraq and Libya but the difference here was that while removing the regimes in Libya and Iraq they intentionally killed millions of innocent Muslims whereas in Venezuela hardly anyone was killed. Another thing which is worth noticing is that Venezuela had strong ties with China and Russia but they couldn't do anything to save Maduro. The reality is that these world powers would never fight against each other face to face but they will use other relatively weaker countries like Venezuela or Ukraine as proxies against each other. For example Venezuela was being used by China and Russia against the US and Ukraine was being used by the US against Russia. Whenever their interests suits them these world powers will not shy away from abandoning their proxies. In regards to this the Muslim countries also need to think about something. They should not depend so heavily on these world powers. All the Muslim countries should form a strong alliance with each other and should end the grievances that they have with each other. The Muslims instead of allying with the US, Russia or China should instead ally themselves with Allah. In the past few days their have been talks of Türkiye seeking to enter into a defence deal that was previously formed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. There have also been talks of arms deal between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and Sudan. Over the past few months there have been growing cooperations have between Türkiye and Iran and also Iran and Saudi Arabia. These are very good signs for the Ummah that the Ummah is starting to unite. Hopefully by the Grace of Allah this will bring unity and strength to the Ummah.

O Allah guide the rulers of the Ummah and if their is no guidance in their fate then replace them with those who are worthy to rule the Ummah. O Allah grant Muslims courage to stand up to their rulers if they do something unlawful. O Allah unite the Ummah and eradicate the differences that are present between different Muslim countries. O Allah grant patience, strength and steadfastness to our Muslim brothers fighting oppression in Palestine, Kashmir, East Turkistan, Yemen, Myanmar, Sudan and elsewhere. O Allah give the Muslim Ummah the strength, courage and faith to help those who are being oppressed around the world.

Hadith no.322

Hadith Regarding Virtues of Quran and Ahlul Bayt(Household of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH)

Yazid b. Hayyan reported, I went along with Husain b. Sabra and 'Umar b. Muslim to Zaid b. Arqam and, as we sat by his side, Husain said to him:

Zaid. you have been able to acquire a great virtue that you saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) listened to his talk, fought by his side in (different) battles, offered prayer behind me. Zaid, you have in fact earned a great virtue. Zaid, narrate to us what you heard from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). He said: I have grown old and have almost spent my age and I have forgotten some of the things which I remembered in connection with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), so accept whatever I narrate to you, and which I do not narrate do not compel me to do that. He then said: One day Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up to deliver sermon at a watering place known as Khumm situated between Mecca and Medina. He praised Allah, extolled Him and delivered the sermon and. exhorted (us) and said: Now to our purpose. O people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a messenger (the angel of death) from my Lord and I, in response to Allah's call, (would bid good-bye to you), but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family. He (Husain) said to Zaid: Who are the members of his household? Aren't his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who are they? Thereupon he said: 'Ali and the offspring of 'Ali, 'Aqil and the offspring of 'Aqil and the offspring of Ja'far and the offspring of 'Abbas. Husain said: These are those for whom the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. Zaid said: Yes. [Sahih Muslim 2408a]

Hadith no.323

Hadith Regarding the Virtues of Abu Bakr,Umar and Uthman

Narrated Muhammad bin Al-Hanafiya:

I asked my father (`Ali bin Abi Talib), "Who are the best people after Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" He said, "Abu Bakr." I asked, "Who then?" He said, "Then `Umar. " I was afraid he would say "Uthman, so I said, "Then you?" He said, "I am only an ordinary person. [Sahih al Bukhari 3671]

Hadith no.324

Hadith Regarding Virtues of Anas bin Malik

Anas b. Malik said:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) passed (by our house) that my mother Umm Sulaim listened to his voice and said: Allah's Messenger, let my father and mother be sacrificed for thee, here is Anas (and requested him to invoke blessings upon me). So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) invoked three blessings upon me. I have seen (the results) of the two in this very world (in regard to wealth and progeny) and I hope to see (the result) of the third one in the Hereafter. [Sahih Muslim 2481c]

Hadith no.325

Hadith Regarding Virtues of Imam Hassan bin Ali

Narrated `Uqba bin Al-Harith:

I saw Abu Bakr carrying Al-Hasan and saying, "Let my father be sacrificed for you; you resemble the Prophet and not `Ali," while `Ali was laughing at this. [Sahih al Bukhari 3750]

Hadith no.326

Hadith Regarding being Nice to one's Mother

Taysala ibn Mayyas said, "I was with the Najadites [Kharijites] when I committed wrong actions which I supposed were major wrong actions. I mentioned that to Ibn 'Umar. He inquired, 'What are they?" I replied, 'Such-and-such.' He stated, 'These are not major wrong actions. There are nine major wrong actions. They are:associating others with Allah, killing someone, desertion from the army when it is advancing, slandering a chaste woman, usury, consuming an orphan's property, heresy in the mosque, scoffing, and causing one's parents to weep through disobedience.' Ibn 'Umar then said to me, 'Do you wish to separate yourself from the Fire? Would you like to enter Paradise?' 'By Allah, yes!' I replied. He asked, 'Are your parents still alive?' I replied, 'My mother is.' He said, 'By Allah, if you speak gently to her and feed her, then you will enter the Garden as long as you avoid the major wrong actions.'" [Al Adab Al Mufrad 8]

Hadith Regarding Things to take refuge from Allah

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that :

the Messenger of Allah said: "Seek refuge with Allah from poverty, insufficiency and humiliation, and from wronging (others) and being wronged.'" [Sunan Ibn e Majah 3842]

Hadith no.328

Hadith Regarding Suppressing your Anger

`Abd Allah (b. Mas`ud) reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying:

Whom do you consider a wrestler among you? The people replied: (the man) whom the men cannot defeat in wrestling. He said: No, it is he who controls himself when he is angry. [Sunan Abu Dawood 4779]

Hadith no.329

Hadith Regarding offering Salah with a single Garment a wrapped around the body

Narrated `Umar bin Abi Salama:

In the house of Um-Salama I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) offering prayers, wrapped in a single garment around his body with its ends crossed round his shoulders. [Sahih al Bukhari 356]

Hadith no.330

Hadith Regarding Virtue of Performing Ablution and Salah

Humran. the freed slave of 'Uthman. said:

I heard from 'Uthman b. 'Affan and he was in the courtyard of the mosque, when the Mu'adhdhin (announcer of the prayer) came to him at the time of afternoon prayer. So the ('Uthman) called for the ablution water and performed ablution and then said: By Allah, I am narrating to you a hadith. If there were not a verse in the Book of Allah, I would have never narrated it to you. I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say: If a Muslim performs ablution and does it well and offers prayer, all his (sins) daring the period from one prayer to another would be pardoned by Allah. [Sahih Muslim 227a]

One Year Anniversary of the Fall of the Assad regime

The fall of the Assad regime proved that if people rise against oppression and injustice fearing no one but Allah then Allah will grant them success. Everyone was against the People of Syria during the civil war. The US put brutal sanctions on Syrians. Russia was bombing Syrian cities and leveling them to the ground. Iranian militias and death squads were on a rampage killing, torturing innocent Syrians. The Assad regime's brutality also reached its peak during the civil war but Syrians kept firm faith on Allah, remained steadfast and against all odds were able to get rid of the Assad regime. I don't count the takeover of Ahmad Al Sharaa's regime as a success nor I will call this a 'blessed revolution' like many of Pro Al Sharaa fans on social media have called but the fall of the Al Assad regime was indeed a success for Syrians who fought and were martyred during the civil war. As of now I think Syria is still in a very difficult position and I hope Syria is able to get out of this. I hope that Al Sharaa's regime doesn't follow the same path that the Al Assad regime went on. I pray to Allah that Ahmad al Sharaa and his regime will not go so far in pleasing the West that they end up compromising the freedom for which Syrians fought so hard against the Al Assad regime. Another thing which the fall of the Al Assad regime proved is that Allah does not leave the call of the oppressed unheard.

Political Situation of the Middle East in Regards to Israel

       The Political Situation of the Middle East is worsening especially when Israel is attacking other neighbouring countries inorder to pursue its evil ambitions. A couple of days ago Israel conducted airstrikes in Beirut martyring Hezbollah's top military commander and last week they conducted airstrikes in Syria as well. This shows that Israel will not abandon its evil ambitions and they will continue to threaten stability in the region. All of this is the result of the lack of constructive efforts from the Ummah to stop Israel from killing Palestinians. If the Ummah had done anything beyond giving bold statements and sending aid to Palestinians Israel wouldn't have gone this far. If the Ummah had sent Weapons and Military aid to Hamas then Israel wouldn't have the courage to do what it is doing at the moment. The only ones to actually do something or help Hamas are Hezbollah, Houthis and Iran along with some diplomatic support by Türkiye and Qatar apart from this the entire Ummah has been mostly silent. The Ummah should fear Allah more than it fears the US and Israel and unite as a strong nation to counter the enemies of Islam. In this regard I think the visit of Turkish President Erdoğan to Tehran can play a crucial role. Türkiye and Iran are one of few Muslim nations who have got the Military capacity to counter Israel. Türkiye has considerable influence in Syria as a result of its backing of Al Sharaa regime in Syria and Iran holds considerable influence due to its backing of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Houthis in Yemen. This can create problems for Israel because if Iran and Türkiye strengthen their ties then Israel will be surrounded by Iranian and Türkish proxies from all sides. I hope Erdoğan's visit to Iran is beneficial not only for Iran and Türkiye but for the entire Ummah. Türkiye can also play a crucial role to mediate between Iran and Syria. Both Syria and Iran should understand that their biggest enemy is Israel and if they want to counter Israel then they should not keep on fighting each other because this will only go in Israel's favor. Iran should realize its mistakes in Syria and it should apologize to Syrians and seek to strengthen ties with Syria by making up for its mistakes and the Syrians should also forgive the Iranians and move on just like they have moved on with the US and Russia. If the current Syrian regime can reconcile with Russia and the US both of whom along with Iran were also involved in killing millions of Syrians than why can't they reconcile with Iran? The same goes for Iran if Iran can negotiate with the US  on nuclear deal and other key issues than why can't they sit with the current Syrian regime? Here I would quote some Verses from the Holy Quran in which Allah says;

And hold firmly together to the rope of Allah and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you—by His grace—became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to you, so that you may be ˹rightly˺ guided. [Surah Al Imran Verse no.103]

And do not be like those who split ˹into sects˺ and differed after clear proofs had come to them. It is they who will suffer a tremendous punishment. [Surah Al Imran Verse no.105]

In these verses of the Holy Quran Allah clearly commands us to be united and not be split into sects so keeping this in mind all of the Muslim countries should strengthen ties with each other and should not hold grudges against each other.

O Allah guide the rulers of the Ummah and if their is no guidance in their fate then replace them with those who are worthy to rule the Ummah.

Narrated Buraydah ibn al-Hasib:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Judges are of three types, one of whom will go to Paradise and two to Hell. The one who will go to Paradise is a man who knows what is right and gives judgment accordingly; but a man who knows what is right and acts tyrannically in his judgment will go to Hell; and a man who gives judgment for people when he is ignorant will go to Hell. [Sunan Abu Dawood 3573]

Hadith no.310

Hadith Regarding Supplication during Rain

Hadith no.311

Hadith Regarding the one who believes in Tawheed, the Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad and Jesus

It is narrated on the authority of Ubadah b. Samit that the messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed:

He who said:" There is no god but Allah, He is One and there is no associate with Him, that Muhammad is his servant and His messenger, that Christ is servant and the son of His slave-girl and he (Christ) His word which He communicated to Mary and is His Spirit, that Paradise is a fact and Hell is a fact," Allah would make him (he who affirms these truths enter Paradise through any one of its eight doors which he would like. [Sahih Muslim 28a]

Hadith no.312

Hadith Regarding Reward of Deeds depending on Intentions

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for." [Sahih al Bukhari 1]

Zohran Mamdani's victory in New York City Mayoral Election

Zohran Mamdani contested well in the New York Mayoral Election and won for which he should be appreciated. Although Mamdani's victory is better than any Zionist winning the election but it still doesn't mean that Zohran's victory is the victory of Islam. Before this Sadiq Khan became Mayor of London and many other Muslims won in various elections across the US and Europe so did their victory bring anything beneficial to Muslims? Those Muslims who are happy with Mamdani's victory in this election should not be over excited as this is only Zohran's victory for which he should be appreciated but this is not the victory of Islam. Mamdani does have a Muslim background but he is not different than any other typical secular Muslim living in the West who obeys the rules made by the West. He supports the LGBTQ movement and is a socialist. Yes many of the far right white supremacists in the US are worried about his victory just because he happens to be a Muslim. The White Supremacists in Europe and the US hate Islam and Muslims. No matter how much Muslims become like the Europeans or abide by their rules they will still continue to hate Islam so this is the reason that they don't like Zohran Mamdani winning the election. It still remains to be seen what would Zohran do in New York. Although Mamdani is not even a practicing Muslim but one thing that is for sure is that if he fails to deliver or if some catastrophe breaks out in New York the entire Western Media and politicians from Europe and the US will blame Islam for his failure. I pray for his success because I don't want Islam and innocent Muslims working and living in the West to be blamed for his failure. Muslims should neither be too happy on his victory nor they should be too sad.

Ahmad Al Sharaa's visit to the US

Syrian President Ahmad Al Sharaa visited the US last week and met with the US President Donald Trump. Many of Ahmad Al Sharaa's fans on social media are happy for this even though I don't see anything in this that we as Muslims should be happy about and many of the Pro Assad regime are now creating a narrative on Social Media saying that Al Sharaa was just an American 'plot' to get rid of the Al Assad regime as if the Al Assad regime were innocent angels who loved the Syrian people. In my opinion only time will decide whether Al Sharaa is a hero or a villain but even if he turns out to be a villain that won't change the fact that Bashar al Assad was a tyrant who had killed millions of innocent Syrians just to retain his grip on Syria. The only thing in Al Sharaa's visit for which we should be happy is that our Syrian brothers have got some relief from the US sanctions that had chocked Syrians. I hope that this visit is beneficial for Syria and that the US doesn't take anything in exchange from Syria that will compromise their freedom for which they fought against the Al Assad regime. It is still quite amazing that Al Sharaa a couple of years ago was designated a terrorist by the US and its allies but now the US has forgotten all that past and is willing to work with the new Syrian regime. It just shows the hypocrisy of the West and Russia as well because the Russians are also willing to work with Al Sharaa even though both of them fought Al Sharaa for almost a decade. The US wants the new Syrian regime to be on their side so that they can use Syria against Russia and China and Russia wants to the same and this is the reason that Russia also hosted Ahmad Al Sharaa in Moscow couple of weeks ago. Now it is up to Ahmad Al Sharaa to use this situation where all the world powers want Syria to be in their camp to leverage his position for the benefit of Syrians and the entire Muslim Ummah. Ahmad Al Sharaa should also learn from the mistakes of other Muslim rulers who did everything what the US wanted them to do but that still did not stop the US from conspiring and over throwing them. Ahmad Al Sharaa should not go so far in pleasing world powers that their reaches a stage where it becomes difficult for him to oppose them in those policies which are against the interest of Syria and the interest of the Ummah. Alongside this I still think that if the Syrian regime can reconcile with Russia and the US than they should also reconcile with Iran. All of these three countries were involved in massacring innocent Syrians so if the current Syrian regime can reconcile with Russia and the US than why not with Iran? Iran should also realize that it was a mistake to support Bashar al Assad and should apologize to the Syrian people. If Iran doesn't apologize to the people of Syria then what would they do when they would be held accountable in front of Allah at the Day of Judgment? Allah does not leave the Supplication of the oppressed unanswered so Iran should fear the time when Allah answers the supplications of those who were oppressed by them in Syria and then the Iranians would have to face the wrath of Allah in this life and in the life hereafter. They should pay reparations and should help Syria rebuild. Iran should not have a problem in doing all this because it also didn't have any problem in supporting the oppression of the Al Assad regime during the Syrian Civil war. Syrians should also forgive Iran and prove that they are much better than the Iranians. Syrians should not hesitate in reconciling with Iran because seemingly they didn't hesitate in reconciling with Russia and the US. Syrians should act upon the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW when he forgave all his enemies at the time of the conquest of Makkah. Iran and Syria should burry the sectarian and ideological differences that they have with each other. Syria and Iran should realize that if they don't reconcile and keep on fighting than it will only benefit Israel which is an enemy of both Iran and Syria. Muslim nations like Türkiye and Qatar can play a crucial role in rebuilding ties between Iran and Syria. O Allah eradicate the malice and the sectarian differences present within the Ummah that stop the Ummah from uniting and strengthening against the enemies of Islam. O Allah grant patience to our Muslim brothers who are being oppressed around the world. O Allah grant strength and steadfastness to those who are resisting oppression in Kashmir, Sudan, Palestine, Yemen, East Turkistan and elsewhere.

Current Situation in Syria

The situation in Syria for the last couple of days has been worsening. It shows that Israel will not stop attacking and destabilizing neighboring Muslim countries. Israel on the pretext of protecting the minorities in Syria violated there Sovereignty and martyred many Syrian Soldiers. A point which needs to be noted is that it is Israel which has been arming the druze terrorist gangs so that they can incite violence in Suwayda and also destabilize Syria. The Syrian army was only there to establish law and order in the city. It did quite well but when Israeli air force attacked Syrian army posts it couldn't defend itself since Syria lacks the air and military support to defend itself against Israel. The current situation demands that Turkiye needs to arm and train the Syrian military so that it can protect itself and the Syria people. The reason I am saying this is because Turkiye has been the biggest supporter of the the HTS led Syrian regime after it ousted Bashar back in December. Turkiye needs to further increase there support for the Syrian regime because Turkiye could also be next on the radar of Israel. Avoiding confrontation with Israel now will only give them the confidence to Martyr more Muslims. Turkiye needs to have an airbase and strong military presence or at least needs to do a military intervention inside Syria just like they have done in parts Iraq and Libya. Turkiye shouldn't make the mistake which Iran made when its proxies like Hizbullah and Ansarallah were being bombed by Israel and it didn't do much to stop Israel. Another country which should support Syria at the moment is Pakistan. Pakistan also possesses a strong Military and has got an incredible airforce. It also needs to support Syria. Israel is exhausted after fighting Hamas for almost two years and fighting a bloody war with Iran just recently in which they were inflicted some quite heavy losses. This is a great opportunity to get rid of  Israel for once and for all. Israel knows that the Ummah lacks unity because when it attacked Iran no one came to help Iran. There has also been reports of Iran arming the the Alawite gangs and former remnants of the Assad regime to destabilize the current Syrian regime. Iran should be ashamed of this because while doing such heinous acts they are indirectly helping Israel because Israel also seeks to destabilize the HTS regime. Iran needs to now that made a massive mistake by siding with Bashar in Syria instead of being neutral. Iranian proxies were involved in martyring of countless Sunni Muslims along with revolutionaries. Iran has two choices either work to destabilize the current Syrian regime and in doing so help its biggest enemy which is Israel or to apologize to Syrian people and there regime and help them against Israel. It is a great opportunity for Iran to atone for its atrocities that they have committed along with the Assad regime in Syria. Iran has to help Syria rebuild if it wants to recover its reputation.

Syria at the moment is in a rebuilding phase and at this moment Muslims need to stand with there Syrian brothers. The reason why Israel has been desperately violating Syrian airspace and bombing Syria shows that it fears a powerful Muslim nation at its border. The Syrian regime should also know that there is no way to reconcile with Israel who are killing there innocent Palestinian brothers. Muslim countries like Turkiye, Pakistan and even Iran should help Syria militarily. Wealthy gulf states should also step up to provide financial support. All of the Muslim states should help Syria rebuild itself. The Ummah must know that if Syria falls then Israel could potentially attack Turkiye, Pakistan or Iran as it fears all those Muslim nations which possess strong Military capabilities. There attack on Syria right after there war with Iran shows the panic they have when they see a potential Muslim nation that can be a threat to there evil ambitions.

Mawlid. Its Permissibility and how can it be celebrated if it is Permissible?

In this blog, I have written about Mawlid(the birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW). Is it permissible to celebrate it and if it is how can it be celebrated?

Date of Birth of Prophet Muhammad SAW

There is debate on the date on which Prophet Muhammad PBUH was born some say he was born on the 2nd of Rabee al-awal some say he was born on 8th, some say he was born on 10th but the majority of the scholars of the Salaf say he was born on the 12th of Rabee al-awal in 571 CE the same year the incident of the Elephant took place. The Shia argue that he was born on the 17th of Rabee al-awal. Scholars such as Abu Mashar Nujayh ibn Abd ar-Rahman al-Madan, al-Waqidi and Ibn Abd al-Barr(May Allah be pleased with all of them) believe that the Prophet was born on the 2nd of Rabee al-Awal. Some scholars like Az-Zuhri and Ibn Hazm(May Allah be pleased with them)etc argue that he was born on the 8th of the month. Some of the scholars like Ibn Dihyah and Ibn Asakir from Abu Jafar al-Baqir(May Allah be pleased with them) state that he was born on the 10th of the month. While Scholars such as Ibn Ishaq, and Ibn Abi Shaybah also narrated from Affan from Saeed ibn Mina that Jabir and Ibn Abbas(May Allah be pleased with them say that he was born on the 12th of Rabi al-awal and this is also the view of the majority of the scholars.

Brief history of Mawlid

The first person to publicly celebrate Mawlid was Muzaffar ad-Din Gökböri who was the deputy and brother-in-law of Salahuddin Ayubi(May Allah have mercy on them as they were the ones who fought the crusaders). There is not even a single mention of Mawlid being celebrated publicly like this before. He organized a very impressive ceremony at the Prophet's Mosque in Madina. A couple of centuries later Ottoman Caliph Murad III declared it a public holiday.

Many scholars say that this is a bidaah(an act that is in opposition to the Quran and the Sunnah). They argue that Mawlid was not celebrated by Prophet Muhammad during his lifetime and his companions. The five rightly guided Caliphs Abu Bakr, Umar, Usman and Ali didn't celebrate Mawlid. Neither did the early generations of Salaf including the four great Imams Abu Hanifa, Malik, Shafii and Ahmad bin Hanbal(May Allah be pleased with them) celebrated it. They are right in their argument because we don't find any Sahih Hadith of people of the Salaf celebratung Mawlid. Many argue that it is not a bidaah and it is just a way to show love for Prophet Muhammad SAW. Many people say that it is a bidaah and there are some who call it bidaah hasnah(good bidaah). With regards to bidaah, there is a Sahih Hadith in Sunan Nasai.

Hadith no.149

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:

"In his Khutbah the Messenger of Allah SAW used to praise Allah as He deserves to be praised, then he would say: 'Whomsoever Allah (SWT) guides, none can lead him astray, and whomsoever Allah sends astray, none can guide. The truest of word is the Book of Allah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those that are newly invented; every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is going astray, and every going astray is in the Fire.' Then he said: 'The Hour and I have been sent like these two.' Whenever he mentioned the Hour, his cheeks would turn red, and he would raise his voice and become angry, as if he were warning of an approaching army and saying: 'An army is coming to attack you in the morning, or in the evening!' (Then he said): 'Whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his family, and whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents, then these are my responsibility, and I am the most entitled to take care of the believers.'[Sunan Nasai 1578]

With the above-mentioned hadith, it should be clear how much of a risk it is to follow a bidaah.

How to celebrate Mawlid?

The intentions of those who celebrate Mawlid can not be doubted but what should be the right way to celebrate the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW? In some Muslim countries people organize rallies that result in the blocking of roads. Now Surely blocking roads or conducting rallies can not be the right way to celebrate Mawlid as this can cause discomfort to the general public. With regards to causing harm or distress to others, there is Sahih Hadith.

Hadith no.150

Abu Al-Abbas Muhammad bin Yaqub narrated to us, Al-Abbas bin Muhammad Al-Duri narrated to us, Uthman bin Muhammad bin Uthman bin Rabiah bin Abi Abd Al-Rahman narrated to us, Abd Al-Aziz bin Muhammad Al-Darawardi narrated to us, on the authority of Amr bin Yahya Al-Mazini, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, He said:

“There should be neither harm nor reciprocating harm. Whoever harms, Allah will harm him, and whoever makes things difficult, Allah will make things difficult for him.” This is a hadith with a sound chain of transmission according to the conditions of  Imam Muslim. [Mustadrak al-Hakim 2345]

Now tell me organizing rallies that can result in the blocking of roads cause discomfort  to others? Wouldn't it make the lives of other people difficult and cause them distress?  What if someone needs instant medical treatment but can't go to the hospital or if someone immediately needs to go to a distant place or out of the city but can't reach there on time because the roads are blocked? Now who would be responsible for these difficulties and distress that others have to go through? It would be better to organize such events in mosques or indoor community centres so that they can not cause suffering to others.

In many Muslim countries, the celebration of Mawlid overshadows the celebrations of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha. This is obviously a bidah because there are only two Eid according to Quran and the Sunnah. These are the Eid ul-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha. These are the only two occasions of celebrations that have been recorded in the Sahih Hadith. Indeed the day of the arrival of Prophet Muhammad SAW is a great day but it shouldn't be celebrated in a way that contradicts the Quran and Sunnah.

        Reciting verses of poems is a good way to celebrate the arrival of  Prophet Muhammad SAW and show your love towards him. Discussions should be held on the stature of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Another thing which we should be careful about is that while reciting poems or organizing discussions about Prophet Muhammad SAW we shouldn't exaggerate the status of Prophet Muhammad SAW beyond the level which has been reported in the Quran and Sahih hadith. There are a number of verses of the Quran regarding this among them I have mentioned only one verse;

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I am only a man like you, ˹but˺ it has been revealed to me that your God is only One God. So whoever hopes for the meeting with their Lord, let them do good deeds and associate none in the worship of their Lord.” [Surah al-Kahf verse 110]

There are a couple of Sahih hadith about this as well;

Hadith no.151

Narrated by Aisha(the wife of the Prophet): Allah's MMessenger SAW died while Abu Bakr was at a place called As-Sunah (Al-Aliya) Umar stood up and said, "By Allah! Allah's Messenger SAW is not dead!" 'Umar (later on) said, "By Allah! Nothing occurred to my mind except that." He said, "Verily! Allah will resurrect him and he will cut the hands and legs of some men." Then Abu Bakr came and uncovered the face of Allah's Messenger SAW, kissed him and said, "Let my mother and father be sacrificed for you, (O Allah's Messenger SAW), you are good in life and in death. By Allah in Whose Hands my life is, Allah will never make you taste death twice." Then he went out and said, "O oath-taker! Don't be hasty." When Abu Bakr spoke, 'Umar sat down. Abu Bakr praised and glorified Allah and said, No doubt! Whoever worshipped Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but whoever worshipped Allah, then Allah is Alive and shall never die." Then he recited Allah's Statement.:- "(O Muhammad) Verily you will die, and they also will die." (Surah Az-Zumr verse 30) He also recited:-

"Muhammad is no more than an Apostle; and indeed many Apostles have passed away, before him, If he dies Or is killed, will you then Turn back on your heels? And he who turns back On his heels, not the least Harm will he do to Allah And Allah will give reward to those Who are grateful."(Surah Al-Imran verse 144)

 [Sahih al-Bukhari 3667]

Hadith no.152

Narrated by Aisha and Ibn Abbas(May Allah be pleased with them):

On his deathbed Allah's Messenger SAW put a sheet over his face and when he felt hot, he would remove it from his face. When in that state (of putting and removing the sheet) he said, "May Allah's Curse be on the Jews and the Christians for they build places of worship at the graves of their prophets." (By that) he intended to warn (the Muslim) from what they (i.e. Jews and Christians) had done. [Sahih Bukhari 3453]

Hadith no.153

Narrated Umar(May Allah be pleased with him):

I heard the Prophet SAW saying, "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle." [Sahih al-Bukhari 3445]

While there is debate on which date Prophet Muhammad was born it is confirmed from a Sahih hadith that he was born on Monday;

Hadith no.154

Abu Qatada Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger SAW was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said:

"It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me." [Sahih Muslim 1162e]

This Hadith confirms that he was born on Monday so if we really want to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad why not celebrate it every Monday by fasting on this day? This could be a great way to celebrate his birthday and to show your love towards Prophet Muhammad SAW. Not only this but it is also a Sunnah.

      We should also conduct discussions of the pain and sufferings of Prophet Muhammad SAW and the  sacrifices he made for the Muslims. How much pain and suffering he has endured for us. About this is a Sahih Hadith;

Hadith no.155

Ibn Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

I visited the Prophet SAW while he was suffering(he was unwell or in pain). I said: "(O Messenger of Allah!) You suffer too much.'' He said, "Yes, I suffer as much as two men of you.'' [Riyaad As-Salihin 914]

The above hadith means that whenever he was unwell he used to suffer twice as much as a normal person used to. He would be unwell because of all the sacrifices he had made in his entire life. Another reason for this suffering is that he was worried about his Ummah and the Muslims that would come into this world till the day of resurrection. He was worried about what would become of them in this world and the world hereafter. That's why he Prophesied many incidents that would happen to the Ummah so that he could warn us about them. His pain was due to the sacrifice he had made for us. We should keep in mind that Prophet Muhammad SAW'S uncle Hamza(May Allah be pleased with him) was martyred in the Battle of Uhad. His uncle Abu Talib(May Allah be pleased with him, his wife Khadija(May Allah be pleased with him), all of his sons and all of his daughters except Fatima(May Allah be pleased with all of them) died while he was alive and he had to bury them with his own hands. All of these were great sufferings for Prophet Muhammad SAW and he had to endure all this for us. That's why he is our role model. There have also been Sahih Hadith that Prophet Muhammad would cry and pray for Allah to have mercy on the Muslim Ummah.

      We can't do anything to compensate or pay back all the suffering Prophet Muhammad had to undergo for his Ummah. The best we can do and how we can show our love to him is that we follow his Sunnah and act according to it at every point and every aspect of our lives. For example, we should eat and drink like how he used to eat and drink, we should wear what and how he used to wear. We should behave with our neighbours, guests, children, our siblings, parents and our other relatives in the same way he used to behave. Some people also organise feasts on the 12th Rabee al-awal for their relatives. This isn't wrong but the poor and needy who don't have anything to eat all year around are more worthy to be fed so while organizing such feats for your relatives people who are destitute should also be taken care of. In regards to this is a Sahih Hadith;

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that a man asked the Messenger of Allah SAW:

Hadith no.156

“O Messenger of Allah, which (aspect) of Islam is the best?” He said: “Offering food (to the needy) and greeting with Salam those whom you know and those whom you do not know.” [Sunan Ibn Majah 3253]

Current Situation of the Muslim Ummah and how can we show our love for Prophet Muhammad SAW

We all know what pain and suffering Muslims are going through. Especially the Muslims of Palestine, Kashmir, Syria, Afghanistan, East Turkistan, Libya etc. Some nations are facing poverty and some of them are going through brutal genocide. Now my Question to you is what would Prophet Muhammad SAW have done if he were alive today? Would he be silent on the suffering of the Ummah? In regards to poverty wouldn't he order the rich Muslim countries to help those Muslim countries who are suffering from extreme poverty? In regards to what is happening in Palestine and the rest of the regions where Muslims are undergoing genocide would he have been silent on their massacre or would have called for all Muslim nations to send their armies(to do Jihad) or to take any practical measures to stop the Massacre of our Muslim brothers and sisters? He would have led from the front and fought for the cause of Allah. He would have even risked his own life just to save the Muslims from the massacre that they are going through.

Hadith no.157

Hadith Regarding the Desire of Prophet Muhammad PBUH to perform Jihad and Embrace Martyrdom

Narrated Abu Huraira:

"The Prophet SAW  said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Were it not for some men amongst the believers who dislike to be left behind me and whom I cannot provide with means of conveyance, I would certainly never remain behind any Sariya' (army-unit) setting out in Allah's Cause. By Him in Whose Hands my life is! I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred. [Sahih al-Bukhari 2797]

The above-mentioned hadith shows the importance of Jihad in the eyes of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his desire to embrace martyrdom. Rather than just talking and issuing statements Prophet Muhammad SAW would have united all the Muslim Ummah and ended all their internal disputes just like he did in the treaty of Madina by uniting the Muhajireen and Ansar. There wouldn't have been as much corruption and poverty in the Muslim world as it is today. There would have been justice throughout the Muslim world. There would have been no sectarian or ethnic violence and no Muslim land would have been occupied. But Prophet Muhammad SAW is not alive any more but he is our role model. All we are left with is the Quran and his Sunnah and we should act upon them. We as an Ummah need to respond to the present situation Muslims are going through in the same manner that Prophet Muhammad SAW would have responded if he were alive. The best way to do that is to study the Sunnah, the Hadith and the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

Conclusion

Prophet Muhammad SAW serves as a role model for Muslims both individually and collectively. As individuals in every point or situation in our life either good situations or bad situations we should act according to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW so that we can succeed in this life and in the life hereafter. Similarly collectively as an Ummah, we should respond to the situation faced by Muslims in the same way Prophet Muhammad SAW and his rightly guided caliphs used to respond. This is the best way we can show our love to Prophet Muhammad SAW. We can get to know how Prophet Muhammad SAW used to do all the things which I have mentioned in this blog and many other things which he used to do by studying the Seerah and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Studying the Quran and Hadith and acting according to it is the best way we can show our love and respect for Prophet Muhammad SAW. Rather than just raising slogans of love for Prophet Muhammad PBUH we should prove it practically by acting according to the Quran and Sunnah. If we are unable to do all this and act according to Sunnah then how would we face Prophet Muhammad SAW on the day of Resurrection?

Significance of Day of Ashura(10th of Muharram)

In this blog, I have written about some significance of the Day of Ashura(10th of Muharram), the first month of the Islamic calendar year.

SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGHTING ON THE DAY OF ASHURA

When Prophet Muhammad SAW arrived in Madinah he saw that the Jews were observing fast on the Day of Ashura and they said that they were doing so to celebrate the victory of Prophet Musa(Moses) over Pharoh.

Prophet Musa(AS) raised his voice against the tyranny of Pharoh and fought for the freedom of his nation (Bani Israel) from the shackles of slavery.

When the Prophet SAW arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet SAW  said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day."  [Sahih Bukhari 4680]

Due to the victory of Prophet Moses(AS) and to show their love for Prophet Moses(AS) Muslims also fast on the day of Ashura but it is optional  for them to fast on this day as is evident from the following hadith:

The people used to fast on 'Ashura' (the tenth day of the month of Muharram) before the fasting of Ramadan was made obligatory. And on that day, the Ka`ba used to be covered with a cover. When Allah made fasting during the month of Ramadan compulsory, Allah's Messenger SAW said, "Whoever wishes to fast (on the day of 'Ashura') may do so; and whoever wishes to leave it can do so." [Sahih Bukhari 1592]

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that he (the Messenger of Allah) was asked as to which prayer was most excellent after the prescribed prayer, and which fast was most excellent after the month of Ramadan. He said:

"Prayer offered in the middle of the night(Tahajjud) and the most excellent fast after (fasting) in the month of Ramadan is the fast in God's month al-Muharram."

As Jews also observe the fast on the day of Ashura so for Muslims who want to observe the fast on this day should also observe the fast on the day before that i.e. on the 9th of Muharram or the day after that i.e. 11th of Muharram to differentiate from the Jews. This is evident from the following hadith:

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah SAW said:

"If I live until next year, I will fast the ninth day (of Muharram) too.” [Ibn Majah 1736]

It is also evident from the following hadith that fasting on the day of Ashura compensates for all the sins of the previous year:

“Fasting the day of ‘Ashura’, I hope, will expiate for the sins of the previous year.” [Ibn Majah 1738]

This does not mean major sins but rather minor ones.

MARTYRDOM OF IMAM HUSSAIN(AS)

This was the day when the tragedy of Karbala took place. Imam Husayn(AS) embraced martyrdom along with 72 members of his family. When Yazid ibn Muawaya came to power, many people were not happy with his reign as he was a tyrant and corrupt leader. His reign was based on rules that were contrary to Islam. It was in quite contrast to the Rashidun Caliphate, which lasted for about 30 years and is a role model for governance not only for Muslims but the rest of the world as well.

Many Muslims across the world remember the tragedy of Karbala and the sacrifice made by Imam Husayn(AS) and the members of his family.

A true Husayni is not the one who only remembers him on the Day of Ashura but a true Husayni is the one who acts upon what Imam Husayn(AS) did.

LESSONS FROM PROPHET MUSA(AS) AND IMAM HUSAYN'S FIGHT AGAINST TYRANNY

Yazid and Pharoh both were corrupt and oppressive rulers who oppressed their people. We learn a very valuable lesson from Prophet Moses's fight against Pharoh and Imam Husayn's sacrifice. That lesson is never to bow down against oppression, to fight till your last breath against those who oppose Allah Almighty. Just like their is always a Pharoh or Yazeed  their must also be a Musa(AS) or Husayn(AS) to fight against that Pharaoh or Yazid. Prophet Musa(AS)  taught us that if you rise against oppression and tyranny then Allah will help and guide you, and you will succeed in bringing an end to oppression and tyranny.

The sacrifice of Imam Husayn(AS) and his companions in Karbala taught us that even if you don't succeed against oppression in your life then the generations after you will achieve success because you will become a role model for them against oppression, injustice, cruelty and tyranny. This is what we learn from history those who martyred Imam Husayn(AS) were killed by the freedom fighters most prominent among them was Mukhtar al-Thaqafi and his followers. Even at present Imam Husayn(AS) is a role model for all Muslims to fight against oppression, injustice and tyranny whether it is in Palestine, Kashmir, Myanmar(Rohingya Muslims against the tyranny of Myanmar regime) or in Xinjiang(Uyghur Muslims against oppressive Chinese regime) or anywhere around the world we should do what Imam Husayn(AS) did never to bow down against oppression and keep on fighting according to your capability and keep faith on Allah Almighty. The resistance to those who oppose the rule of Allah must continue. These are the basic teachings of Islam. This is what all the Prophets and their (Sahaba)companions did. This is what our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions(Sahaba) did. This is the real definition of Jihad. This is what great warriors and soldiers in the history of Islam such as Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi, Sultan Nuruddin Zangi, Sultan Alp Arsalan, Sultan Muhammad Fatih, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and many others did. This is what we should do as well to rise against oppression and injustice as per our own capabilities. While doing so we should also increase our capabilities to fight against tyranny and injustice in a much better way.

Another interesting lesson which we can learn from the incident of Karbala is what the people of Kufa and the rest of the Muslim Ummah at that time did. The people of Kufa were the ones sending letters calling Imam Husayn(AS) to Kufa but when they were required to stand by Imam they were absent and became neutral. You must have wondered and asked yourself this question how come Imam Husayn(AS) and his companions were massacred so mercilessly in Karbala while the whole Ummah, the Kufians and all of the Sahaba of Prophet Muhammad SAW who spent and devoted their lives for Islam and Prophet Muhammad SAW did not help Imam Husayn(AS) as much as they should have? What was the reason that prevented them from standing with Imam Husayn(AS)? It was the same reason that is preventing the Muslim Ummah today from standing with the Palestinians, the Kashmiris, the Rohingya Muslims, Uyghur Muslims etc. We are in no way different than the Kufians and the Ummah of that time. If you take Palestine as an example if we were different we would have done practical steps rather than just condemning and issuing statements. The Ummah is silent as it was at the time of the Imam. The Ummah is doing almost nothing for the Muslims being persecuted around the world. In the case of Palestine, if we compare the help offered by the West to Israel with what the Ummah has done to help Palestine than our help us not even 10 percent of the help given by the West to Israel.

OTHER SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DAY OF ASHURA

Some scholars have also narrated that Ashura was the day when:

  1. Prophet Ayub recovered from his disease.
  2. The ark of Prophet Nuh(AS)(Noah) stopped at Mount Judiyy.
  3. Allah created the skies and earth.
  4. Prophet Yunus was released from the belly of the Whale and Allah forgave his people.
  5. Prophet Adam(AS) repented and was forgiven by Allah for eating the forbidden fruit.
