Hadith no.314

Sahih Hadith Regarding Inheritance of Male and Female

Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:

"The Messenger of Allah(S.A.W) came to visit me while I was ill at Banu Salamah. I said : 'O Prophet of Allah(S.A.W)! How shall I divide my wealth among my children?' But he did not say anything to me, until the following was revealed: Allah commands you regarding your children's (inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females." [Jami Al Tirmidhi 2096]

Hadith no.315

Hadith Regarding 3 Qualities possessed by the one who has sweetness of Faith

Narrated Anas:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever possesses the (following) three qualities will have the sweetness of faith (1): The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else; (2) Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's Sake; (3) who hates to revert to atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the Fire." [Sahih al Bukhari 6941]

Sahih Hadith Regarding Dajjal(Anti Christ)

It was narrated that Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: `The Dajjal will emerge from a land in the east called Khurasan and he will be followed by peoples whose faces are like hammered shields.` [Musnad Ahmad 12]

Hadith Regarding Virtues of Congregational Prayer 

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:

The reward of the congregational prayer is twenty seven times greater (than that of the prayer offered by a person alone). [Sahih al Bukhari 649]

Hadith Regarding Deeds which help in Entering Paradise

It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that Nu'man b. Qaufal came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said:

Would I enter Paradise if I say the obligatory prayers and deny myself that which is forbidden and treat that as lawful what has been made permissible (by the Shari'ah)? The Prophet (ﷺ) replied in the affirmative. [Sahih Muslim 15a]

Hadith no.319

Sahih Hadith Regarding Virtues of 5 Daily Prayers

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Do you think that is there was a river by the door of any one of you, and he bathed in it five times each day, would there be any trace of dirt left on him?" They said: "No trace of dirt would be left on him." He said: "That is the likeness of the five daily prayers. By means of them Allah erases sins." [Sunan Nasai 462]

Hadith Regarding up to what extent in length can Muslim men wear silk

Abu 'Uthman reported:

While we were with 'Utba b. Farqad there came a letter of 'Umar (containing the instructions) that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had said: None should wear silk (with the exception of so much) but he will have nothing of it in the Hereafter. Abu 'Uthman said: To the extent of two fingers which are close to the thumb, and I was shown the (silk) borders of the Tayalisa mantle (which were about two fingers in breadth and I saw them. [Sahih Muslim 2069e]

Hadith Regarding Method to correct the Imam During Congratulation Prayer

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The saying 'Sub Han Allah' is for men and clapping is for women." (If something happens in the prayer, the men can invite the attention of the Imam by saying "Sub Han Allah". And women, by clapping their hands). [Sahih al Bukhari 1203]

Response of the Ummah in regards to Situation of Palestine

     The situation in Palestine particularly in Gaza since the start of this so called ceasefire is not different from the situation before the ceasefire. Trump's 20 point peace plan which was welcomed by the Muslim rulers is nothing but tactics by Trump and Israel to hide Israel's inability to defeat Hamas. The goals which Israel could not achieve in the battleground it aims to achieve them on mediation table by pressuring Hamas diplomatically and the Muslims countries are helping Israel in this. The last time when I wrote on this issue I criticized those 8 Muslim countries which were mediating Trump's peace plan and I will not shy away from criticizing those countries again. The reason is that they are helping Israel and the US in achieving their goals. They did nothing to save our Muslim brothers from Israeli oppression but now they are openly willing to send a force under the command of the US to disarm Hamas. This force which is named as International Stabilization Force(ISF) is not to secure the rights of Palestine or to implement this so called peace plan but it is to legitimize Israel's oppression in Gaza. Not even a single day has passed since the start of this ceasefire without Israel violating it. In these two years of Israeli oppression Muslim countries did send aid to Gaza  but Palestinians need more than just aid or bold statements they need military backing from the Ummah like Israel gets from the West. This is treachery of the rulers of the Ummah that they remained silent when our Palestinian brothers and sisters were calling them for help but they didn't answer and now when the US calls to disarm Hamas on behalf of Israel all the Muslim rulers are willing to send troops to Gaza. Just a couple of days ago the United Nations passed a resolution proposed by the US which aims to establish a Transnational body to safeguard Israel's occupation in Gaza. The important point which I want to emphasize here is that Russia and China who are permanent members of United Nations Security Council abstained to vote even though they could have vetoed and stopped it but they deliberately chose not to. Now this will be surprising for those in the Ummah who think of Russia and China as friends of Muslims but they should bare in mind that when it comes to pursuing their imperialist ambitions they are not different than the US. At the moment China is oppressing the Uyghurs and Russia also has a long history of oppressing Muslims. Syria, Chechnya and Dagestan are some examples of Muslim suffering oppression at the hands of the Russians. Some of the Muslim countries also voted in favor of the resolution although Hamas has rightfully so rejected this resolution saying that it legitimizes Israel's occupation. This is just shameful for the Ummah that we have rulers who are coward and greedy of power and wealth which they fear of loosing. This is the reason that they don't stand against the US. They fear the US more than they feared Allah because if they would have feared Allah they would have actually done something thing for the Palestinians and other oppressed people around the world. Allah says in the Quran;

"And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children who cry out, “Our Lord! Deliver us from this land of oppressors! Appoint for us a saviour; appoint for us a helper—all by Your grace.” [Surah an-Nisa verse no.75]

 The Ummah except for Iran, Hezbollah and the Houthis did not send even a single bullet to help Hamas. Even Iran did not do much against Israel the only time they did put real effort against Israel was when it was itself attacked by Israel. For the last two years Hezbollah and the Houthis are constantly being bombed by Israel but Iran didn't do much to save them and isn't doing anything at the moment as well. Apart from Iran most of the of the Muslim countries endorsed Trump's peace plan even though Hamas and rest of the Palestinian resistance factions rejected it. These Palestinian resistance factions along with Hamas are the real representatives of the Palestinians. If they don't agree to Trump's peace plan then why are the rest of the Muslim sidelining them and agreeing to Trump's proposal on the behalf of the Palestinians. If I talk about some of the Muslim countries who welcomed Trump's peace plan. Then first I would talk about Indonesia which is the largest Muslim country in the world did help Palestinians but their help for Palestine was also only limited to giving bold statements and giving little bit of aid but apart from that they did nothing. Now they are willing to send troops to Gaza within the ISF but they couldn't send even a single bullet when Palestinians were being murdered. The wealthy Arab countries are happy to gave trillions of dollars to the US in the name of investments but are unwilling to spend even a single penny to help the Palestinian resistance or to help millions of people suffering from poverty, malnutrition around the globe. In fact the UAE at the moment is complicit in a genocide in Sudan. Saudi Arabia which champions its self as the custodian of Hejaz didn't allow the Imams of the two Holy Mosques to pray for Palestine. In a recent visit to the US Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salaman while sitting with Trump expressed his willingness to sign the Abraham Accords on the condition that a Palestinian state be established but he didn't mention which sort of Palestinian state should be established the one like PLO which is nothing but an Israeli puppet or the one which is based on Hamas and rest of the Palestinian resistance factions who are the sole representatives of Palestine. Pakistan which possesses one of the most formidable armies in the world and just recently they defeated India in a war a couple of months ago. Pakistan is the only Muslim majority country which possesses nuclear weapons but they did nothing for Palestine. They did nothing to help Hamas but they not only endorsed Trump's peace plan but even nominated Trump for noble peace prize twice. Then there are Jordan and Egypt who are complicit of Israel's genocide of the Palestinians. Then there is Türkiye who for the last two years of Israeli genocide did nothing for Gaza except for sending aid and giving bold statements which don't help much. If I criticize Erdoğan and Türkiye for not doing much for Palestine than it is because I expect more from them as compared to rest of the Ummah. It would be still wrong to overlook the fact that Israel at the moment is pressuring Trump from not allowing Türkiye to send troops to Gaza. It is because Israel fears the most from Türkiye as Israel is already bordered by a Turkish backed regime in Syria led by Ahmad Al Sharaa and if Turkish troops are also included in the ISF Israel feels threatened from being surrounded by Türkiye from both sides. Only time will tell whether Türkiye would actually leverage its position to save the Palestinians and eradicate Israel or they will just keep on doing minimum efforts like they have been doing so far. 

Conflict between Israel and Syria

   A couple of days ago Benjamin Netanyahu visited that Syrian territory which has been occupied by Israel. If Israel attacks Syria now then other Muslim countries especially Türkiye should not sit back and allow Israel to do the same which it did to Gaza. Erdoğan must understand that issuing bold statements won't work this time instead he should arm and strengthen the new Syrian regime so that it can fight Israeli aggression. Israel is also bombing Southern Lebanon in the guise of attacking Hezbollah so Iran instead of arming gangs in Syria to destabilize the Syrian regime should arm Hezbollah to fight Israel. Israel must not be allowed to make inroads in Lebanon and Syria infact it should be given so much bloody noses that their existence will come to an end. For this all the Muslim countries must unite not only to save themselves but to save their brothers suffering from oppression. O Allah guide the rulers of the Ummah and if there is no guidance in there fate then replace them with those who are worthy to lead the Ummah. O Allah unite the Ummah against the enemies of Islam. O Allah give the Muslims the strength and courage to stand up to their oppressive and coward rulers and question their inability to ease the suffering of the Muslims around the World. O Allah grant patience, courage, faith and steadfastness to our Muslim brothers suffering and fighting oppression in Palestine, Kashmir, Myanmar, Sudan, East Turkistan and elsewhere.

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) granted concession, or Zubair bin Awwam and 'Abd Al-Rahman bin Auf were granted concession, for the wearing of silk because of the itch that they both had. [Sahih Muslim 2076c]

Hadith no.271

Hadith Regarding Ad-Dajjal(Anti Christ)

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) told us a long narrative about Ad-Dajjal, and among the many things he mentioned, was his saying, "Ad-Dajjal will come and it will be forbidden for him to pass through the entrances of Medina. He will land in some of the salty barren areas (outside) Medina; on that day the best man or one of the best men will come up to him and say, 'I testify that you are the same Dajjal whose description was given to us by Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) .' Ad-Dajjal will say to the people, 'If I kill this man and bring him back to life again, will you doubt my claim?' They will say, 'No.' Then Ad-Dajjal will kill that man and bring him back to life. That man will say, 'Now I know your reality better than before.' Ad-Dajjal will say, 'I want to kill him but I cannot.' " [Sahih al-Bukhari 1882]

Hadith Regarding People Most loved by Prophet Muhammad PBUH 

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

The people most loved by me from amongst my Ummah would be those who would come after me but everyone amongst them would have the keenest desire to catch a glimpse of me even at the cost of his family and wealth. [Sahih Muslim 2832]

Hadith no.273

Sahih Hadith Regarding Supplication 

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the :

Messenger of Allah PBUH said: "No one among you should say: "O Allah, forgive me if You will.' Let him be definite in his asking, and no one can compel Allah." [Sunan Ibn Majah 3854]

Current Political Situation of the Ummah

    The political situation of the Ummah especially our oppressed brothers in Palestine and Syria is worsening with each passing day. Israel continues its barbaric onslaught on innocent people of Gaza and now it plans to do the same in Syria. It has already occupied Golan Heights and now it is inciting sectarian violence in Syria using Druze minority against the Sunni majority of Syria. Just like Israel divided Palestine into Gaza and West Bank to control the Palestinian resistance in a better way now it intends to do the same in Syria. It intends to build a corridor named as 'David corridor' so that it can get a free passage from the Druze majority city of Suwayda to the north eastern Kurdish majority areas of Syria which are under the control of US backed SDF terror group. Muslim countries should not remain silent on this just like they have remained silent in case of Palestine. The Ummah has done a grave sin by not taking any concrete steps for the Palestinians but they should not do the same in case of Syria. Turkiye has vowed to intervene in Syria although it is too late because they should have done the same for the Palestinians as well. Muslims should not allow Syria to become an other Gaza.

     The situation in Palestine is also horrifying. The famine in Gaza has reached its last stage after which mass death is certain. Israel doesn't allow aid to reach Gaza and people in Gaza including infants and elderly are dying of malnutrition and starvation. The entire Muslim Ummah especially those countries which border Palestinian territories like Egypt and Jordan should be ashamed of themselves. What is the purpose of the Wealth of the Gulf states, the Military might of countries like Pakistan, Türkiye, Iran and Egypt etc, the resources that Allah has gifted all the Muslim countries with if they can't use there resources to help there Palestinian brothers. Muslims were silent when Palestinians were being slaughtered and now Israel's ambitions have extended to Syria. All of the Ummah should come to the streets against there governments to exert pressure on them to help our Palestinian brothers by taking concrete steps like giving aid, ending diplomatic ties with Israel and supplying Weapons to the Palestinian resistance movements like Hamas and Palestine Islamic Jihad while also putting diplomatic pressure on the United States and its allies to stop helping Israel. As per the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad PBUH all the Muslims are brother to one another regardless of there ethnicity but this is an unfortunate reality that our brothers are being oppressed in Palestine, Syria, East Turkistan, Kashmir, Africa and elsewhere but the Muslim leaders do not take any concrete steps to help them. All they do is just give empty slogans which does not help. In recent days there is a rising trend of people especially from Egypt throwing bottles filled with grains in the ocean hoping that they will reach Gaza. While I do appreciate this trend of showing solidarity towards the Palestinians but we need to do much more then this. All the Muslims need to rise up to pressure there governments because if we remain silent now then we will have to face the consequences not only in this life but in the life hereafter as well. Just think about it how will we face Allah at the day of Judgement when he asks us about our oppressed brothers? Do you think that Allah Almighty will not ask us and our Muslim leaders about our silence when our Muslim brothers around the world were being oppressed?

India-Pakistan War

      In this article I have written about India-Pakistan war.

     I won't write much about the current situation of the war because the situation would keep on evolving so it is quite difficult for me to update you in this. If you want to know about the current situation of the war then you can get updates on credible media outlets like Al Jazeera or TRT World etc. I would briefly explain to you about the situation as of now 12:34p.m(PST) on Saturday. On Saturday morning at 2a.m(PST) India launched missile attacks on various Pakistani cities and Military bases which were intercepted successfully by the Pakistani military. Pakistan launched its retaliatory operation named operation 'Bunyan al Marsoos'(Meaning Concrete structure in Arabic) at 5a.m after which major Indian military bases in the north and north west have been damaged quite a lot. I would recommend to follow neutral media outlets rather then Pakistani or Indian media outlets so that you can get updated from more credible sources.

Role of Rest of the Ummah in the India-Pakistan War

        This is a great opportunity for Muslims around the world to become united as an Ummah. Pakistan's military has shown that it is enough to tackle Indian Military but rest of the Ummah should ally with Pakistan because surely the West would ally with India. The OIC and rest of major Muslim countries should help Pakistan curb the diplomatic pressure imposed on it by the West. Pakistani leadership in the past has a history of faltering under western pressure so the Ummah should give a loud and clear message to the West that the Ummah will not leave Pakistan alone in this situation. The Ummah has unfortunately failed the Palestinians by not taking any concrete steps for them except for sending aid or lip service but now the Ummah should not waste this opportunity. The West should know that how powerful Muslims are when we are united as an Ummah. We should re-establish our unity as an Ummah and we should use this unity to counter the genocide and brutal oppression that Muslims are facing in Palestine, Myanmar, India, Kashmir, East Turkistan and Africa etc. There are 57 Muslim majority countries so if we are united we can establish our own World order which runs on Shariah and would be a role model to the rest of the world as well. This is what Allah has said in Quran about unity and brotherhood:

"The believers are but one brotherhood, so make peace between your brothers. And be mindful of Allah so you may be shown mercy." [Surah Al-Hujurat Verse no.10]

What can Pakistan and rest of the Ummah learn from this?

     A lesson which Pakistan can learn from this is that now they have known that how capable they are in terms of military might. There were many Pakistani Intellectuals, Politicians and Military officers who use to make excuses when they were asked to help Palestinians militarily. They use to make excuses like 'there economy is in poor shape', 'they have bad law and order situation' or excuses like the 'Political situation in Pakistan is not good enough to challenge Israel'. Now when India has attacked Pakistan none of them are thinking about the Political or Economic situation of the country. I do acknowledge these problems but despite these problems as of now Pakistani Military has responded quite well to India's aggression. Another interesting fact that should be kept in mind is that many Pakistani intellectuals wanted to avoid the Israel-Palestine war but they should know that the very war which they wanted to avoid is right at there doorstep as the drones with which India attacked Pakistan on Wednesday were all Israeli made Harop drones so will Pakistani authorities still not do anything for the Palestinians? This means that if you have an existential threat like this then you don't think about your political or economic situation you just do what is best to counter that threat. Similarly the Palestinians and Yemenis are also our brothers as we are united because of being an Ummah. There is no difference between a Pakistani or a Palestinian or a Yemeni so just like we are responding to India's aggression we should also respond to the threats the rest of the are facing. There is a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW

Narrated An-Numan bin Bashir:

Allah's Messenger SAW said, "You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it." [Sahih al-Bukhari 6011]

     Similarly this is a lesson for rest of the Ummah as well that if any other Muslim country is attacked by any of its neighbors then it won't think about its own economic or political crisis but it would only do what it takes to tackle that situation. This is how each and every Muslim country should  think like  for rest of the Ummah that if any of there brotherly Muslim country is in crisis or undergoing a brutal oppression by any other Non Muslim country then they should not think about what crisis they are going internally but only do whatever is best to help there  brotherly Muslim country as according to above-mentioned Hadith Muslims are like a single body. There is another Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW regarding brotherhood:

Narrated Abdullah bin Umar:

Allah's Messenger SAW said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection . " [Sahih al-Bukhari 2442]

Another important thing is that we as Muslims should keep in mind is the fact that we are forbidden to sacrifice our lives for nationalism or tribalism. There is a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW in which he says;

It was narrated that Jundab bin 'Abdullah said:

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever fights for a cause that is not clear, advocating tribalism, getting angry for the sake of tribalism, then he has died a death of Jahiliyyah.'" [Sunan Nasai 4115]

We as Muslims should only sacrifice our lives for Allah Almighty. This is what we have been ordered to do in the Quran and Hadith.

Ceasefire between India and Pakistan

As of now i.e 5:41p.m(PST) both India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire. This has clearly demonstrated the ability of Pakistan Army. This is a clear victory for Pakistan now Pakistan must demand these 4 things from India;

• Rights of minorities in India like Muslims, Christians, Dalit(lower caste Hindus) and Sikhs etc would be equal to the rights of Brahmin Hindus(an elite Hindu caste).

• India should back away from constructing dams on those rivers which run through Pakistan and demolish those dams which already exist. It should be prohibited for them to stop Pakistan's water supplies.

• Kashmir should be a separate Muslim country or a referendum should be conducted that if they want to be part of Pakistan or not but they should never be a part of India due to the atrocities and brutal genocide that India has conducted with the Kashmiris.

• India should pay for the damage they have done to the property of Pakistan and also pay to the families of those Pakistani civilians that were martyred due to Indian strikes.

Pakistan should accept a ceasefire only when these demands are accepted. If the Pakistani authorities fail to put pressure on India in accepting these terms and agree on a ceasefire then this can't be a victory for Pakistan but rather it would be a stalemate. As I wrote before that rest of the Ummah should help Pakistan in this and should also help Pakistan in putting pressure on India in accepting these demands just like India is also being helped by its allies especially the United States. If these demands are not met then this ceasefire shouldn't be accepted untill these demands are accepted. The morale of the Indian army is already down due to the strikes conducted by Pakistani army. If rest of the Ummah do not help Pakistan and the Muslims of the subcontinent in this situation then majority of Ummah should be ashamed of itself in the same way they should be ashamed for abandoning the Palestinians. The Fascist government of India would not stop here and keep on commiting atrocities with Muslims and other minorities in India. Fighting against tyranny is Jihad and the entire Muslim should not shy away from fighting it like they have shied away from fighting Jihad in the case of Palestine. Allah clearly says in the Quran;

"And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children who cry out, “Our Lord! Deliver us from this land of oppressors! Appoint for us a saviour; appoint for us a helper—all by Your grace.” [Surah an-Nisa verse no.75]

"Surely Allah loves those who fight in His cause in ˹solid˺ ranks as if they were one concrete structure." [Surah As-Saf Verse no.4]

Agreeing on a ceasefire at this moment would encourage India to do such sort of things in the future as well.

Significance of Day of Ashura(10th of Muharram)

          In this blog, I have written about some significance of the Day of Ashura(10th of Muharram), the first month of the Islamic calendar year.

SIGNIFICANCE OF FIGHTING ON THE DAY OF ASHURA

    When Prophet Muhammad SAW arrived in Madinah he saw that the Jews were observing fast on the Day of Ashura and they said that they were doing so to celebrate the victory of Prophet Musa(Moses) over Pharoh.

     Prophet Musa(AS) raised his voice against the tyranny of Pharoh and fought for the freedom of his nation (Bani Israel) from the shackles of slavery. 

When the Prophet SAW arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet SAW  said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day."  [Sahih Bukhari 4680]

   Due to the victory of Prophet Moses(AS) and to show their love for Prophet Moses(AS) Muslims also fast on the day of Ashura but it is optional  for them to fast on this day as is evident from the following hadith:

The people used to fast on 'Ashura' (the tenth day of the month of Muharram) before the fasting of Ramadan was made obligatory. And on that day, the Ka`ba used to be covered with a cover. When Allah made fasting during the month of Ramadan compulsory, Allah's Messenger SAW said, "Whoever wishes to fast (on the day of 'Ashura') may do so; and whoever wishes to leave it can do so." [Sahih Bukhari 1592]

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that he (the Messenger of Allah) was asked as to which prayer was most excellent after the prescribed prayer, and which fast was most excellent after the month of Ramadan. He said:

"Prayer offered in the middle of the night(Tahajjud) and the most excellent fast after (fasting) in the month of Ramadan is the fast in God's month al-Muharram."

As Jews also observe the fast on the day of Ashura so for Muslims who want to observe the fast on this day should also observe the fast on the day before that i.e. on the 9th of Muharram or the day after that i.e. 11th of Muharram to differentiate from the Jews. This is evident from the following hadith:

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah SAW said:

"If I live until next year, I will fast the ninth day (of Muharram) too.” [Ibn Majah 1736]

It is also evident from the following hadith that fasting on the day of Ashura compensates for all the sins of the previous year:

“Fasting the day of ‘Ashura’, I hope, will expiate for the sins of the previous year.” [Ibn Majah 1738]

This does not mean major sins but rather minor ones.

MARTYRDOM OF IMAM HUSSAIN(AS)

    

     This was the day when the tragedy of Karbala took place. Imam Husayn(AS) embraced martyrdom along with 72 members of his family. When Yazid ibn Muawaya came to power, many people were not happy with his reign as he was a tyrant and corrupt leader. His reign was based on rules that were contrary to Islam. It was in quite contrast to the Rashidun Caliphate, which lasted for about 30 years and is a role model for governance not only for Muslims but the rest of the world as well.

     Many Muslims across the world remember the tragedy of Karbala and the sacrifice made by Imam Husayn(AS) and the members of his family. 

  A true Husayni is not the one who only remembers him on the Day of Ashura but a true Husayni is the one who acts upon what Imam Husayn(AS) did.

LESSONS FROM PROPHET MUSA(AS) AND IMAM HUSAYN'S FIGHT AGAINST TYRANNY

     Yazid and Pharoh both were corrupt and oppressive rulers who oppressed their people. We learn a very valuable lesson from Prophet Moses's fight against Pharoh and Imam Husayn's sacrifice. That lesson is never to bow down against oppression, to fight till your last breath against those who oppose Allah Almighty. Just like their is always a Pharoh or Yazeed  their must also be a Musa(AS) or Husayn(AS) to fight against that Pharaoh or Yazid. Prophet Musa(AS)  taught us that if you rise against oppression and tyranny then Allah will help and guide you, and you will succeed in bringing an end to oppression and tyranny. 

    The sacrifice of Imam Husayn(AS) and his companions in Karbala taught us that even if you don't succeed against oppression in your life then the generations after you will achieve success because you will become a role model for them against oppression, injustice, cruelty and tyranny. This is what we learn from history those who martyred Imam Husayn(AS) were killed by the freedom fighters most prominent among them was Mukhtar al-Thaqafi and his followers. Even at present Imam Husayn(AS) is a role model for all Muslims to fight against oppression, injustice and tyranny whether it is in Palestine, Kashmir, Myanmar(Rohingya Muslims against the tyranny of Myanmar regime) or in Xinjiang(Uyghur Muslims against oppressive Chinese regime) or anywhere around the world we should do what Imam Husayn(AS) did never to bow down against oppression and keep on fighting according to your capability and keep faith on Allah Almighty. The resistance to those who oppose the rule of Allah must continue. These are the basic teachings of Islam. This is what all the Prophets and their (Sahaba)companions did. This is what our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions(Sahaba) did. This is the real definition of Jihad. This is what great warriors and soldiers in the history of Islam such as Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi, Sultan Nuruddin Zangi, Sultan Alp Arsalan, Sultan Muhammad Fatih, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and many others did. This is what we should do as well to rise against oppression and injustice as per our own capabilities. While doing so we should also increase our capabilities to fight against tyranny and injustice in a much better way.

    Another interesting lesson which we can learn from the incident of Karbala is what the people of Kufa and the rest of the Muslim Ummah at that time did. The people of Kufa were the ones sending letters calling Imam Husayn(AS) to Kufa but when they were required to stand by Imam they were absent and became neutral. You must have wondered and asked yourself this question how come Imam Husayn(AS) and his companions were massacred so mercilessly in Karbala while the whole Ummah, the Kufians and all of the Sahaba of Prophet Muhammad SAW who spent and devoted their lives for Islam and Prophet Muhammad SAW did not help Imam Husayn(AS) as much as they should have? What was the reason that prevented them from standing with Imam Husayn(AS)? It was the same reason that is preventing the Muslim Ummah today from standing with the Palestinians, the Kashmiris, the Rohingya Muslims, Uyghur Muslims etc. We are in no way different than the Kufians and the Ummah of that time. If you take Palestine as an example if we were different we would have done practical steps rather than just condemning and issuing statements. The Ummah is silent as it was at the time of the Imam. The Ummah is doing almost nothing for the Muslims being persecuted around the world. In the case of Palestine, if we compare the help offered by the West to Israel with what the Ummah has done to help Palestine than our help us not even 10 percent of the help given by the West to Israel.

OTHER SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DAY OF ASHURA

     Some scholars have also narrated that Ashura was the day when:

1. Prophet Ayub recovered from his disease.
2. The ark of Prophet Nuh(AS)(Noah) stopped at Mount Judiyy.
3. Allah created the skies and earth.
4. Prophet Yunus was released from the belly of the Whale and Allah forgave his people.
5. Prophet Adam(AS) repented and was forgiven by Allah for eating the forbidden fruit.

Israel-Palestine war and the response of the international community

    In this blog, I have written about the current situation in Gaza, especially Rafah, and the response of the international community on this issue.

     Since October 7th, Israel has killed more than 35,000 Palestinian civilians, including children. The situation in Rafah is getting even worse, where the displaced Palestinians have taken shelter in. The hostilities can rise further as Israel continues to bomb Gaza, especially Rafah, and as Israeli tanks continue to move to the centre of Rafah. This is not only limited to Palestinian civilians, but the Israeli army has also claimed the lives of more than 100 journalists and 224 aid workers, including 179 workers of UNRWA.

  The ruling of ICJ has had no impact on Israel. There has been an insufficient response by the international community against the Israeli massacare of Palestinians. The West especially the US and its allies which call themselves the champions of 'freedom of expression, democracy, Human rights'  are silent on the atrocities and human rights violations convicted by the Israeli army against the Palestinians. They are not only silent but supplying Israel with weapons and aid. Are these your so-called values that you call yourself guardians of that you are advocating for the Israeli genocide or are these values only reserved for people in the West. Don't the Palestinians have any human rights or you think that only people in west are humans and only thet have human rights? The Western governments call themselves the 'beackon of light' for freedom of speech. Well, what about the protesters protesting in various Western countries like US,UK, Germany and Sweden against their own governments for supporting Israel, especially the student protests being conducted in various universities in the US. Those protesters are being arrested for raising their voice against Israel. Is this your so-called freedom of speech upon which you constantly give lectures to the world? 

    AIPAC which is the largest pro-Israeli and pro-Zionist lobby in the US claimed that every 8 out of 10 Americans are in favour of Israel's massacre of Palestinian civilians citing a survey by The Harris poll and HarrisX in which 1660 Americans voted. In response to that someone created a poll in which more then 4200 Americans voted out of which 96 percent of Americans voted against Israel's actions in the beseiged Gaza. This survey just shows that there are many Americans who are not in favour of Israel's atrocities in Gaza but the American  politicians are not paying heed to there opinion. Is this the freedom of expression that US advocates for that they are denying the opinionof there own people? Are these your so called Democratic values? If someone says that only 4200 people voted in this survey and How can there opinion be considered as the opinion of 300 million Americans then how can AIPAC consider the votes of 1660 people as the opinion of 300 million Americans? 

   Israel is literally slaughtering and burning innocent Palestinian children alive. Don't you feel the pain of Palestinian mothers of seeing the dead bodies of there innocent children?What's their fault? What does your international law say about all these atrocities, or should we call it Western law as it only safeguards the rights of people in the West? After all this hypocrisy, the Western nations have shown. They have absolutely no right to teach the world human rights, freedom of expression, and Democracy.

 

  

   Israrli army is conducting Holocaust against Palestinians in the same way Nazi Germany did against Jews during the second world war. Nethanyahu is no different than Hitler. He is doing to Palestinians what Hitler did to Jews. It is ironic that those same Jews who suffered from the tragedy of Holocaust during the second war later on illegally occupied Palestinian lands and kicked them out of their homes during the Nakba in 1948. Now they want to repeat that again. They want to kill most of the Palestinians and kick the rest of them out of Palestine. They have conquered most of the Palestinian land in the last 76 years and now want to capture of what little bit remains of Palestine.

   The Western media is constantly doing Propoganda in favour of Israel trying to blame everything on Hamas, labelling it as a terrorist organization. The reality is that Israel is a terrorist country, and Hamas is fighting it for the independence of their homeland. What Hamas is doing is completely justified in the same manner the Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invasion is justified. The Western governments are supporting Ukraine supplying them with aid and weapons to fight the Russian invasion whereas in the case of Palestine they are not only advocating Israel but they are supplying them with weapons for there genocide of the Palestinians. Many Western media outlets still think that Israel has avoided bloodshed in Gaza. If you want to see the best example of hypocrisy and victim blaming then you would see that in various western media platforms like CNN or BBC etc. They hold innocent Palestinian civilians responsible for the Israeli genocide. They did mass reporting when Russia attacked Ukraine but have been silent on the suffering of Palestinians.

  Russian sports teams were banned from a number of sports events including Olympics 2024 due to there invasion of Ukraine. On the other hand Israel is allowed to participate in the Olympics and other sports events although they also invaded Palestine. The West boycotted Russian products after they invaded Ukraine whereas Israel is buthering innocent Palestinians and they have done nothing. This shows there double standards.

    There are also some people who say that Israel is only bombing Gaza strip because of Hamas, which is as I have stated above is unjustified because Hamas is only resisting against the Israeli occupation of Gaza. Well, I want to tell them that Israel's terrorism and illegal occupation are not only limited to Gaza strip. Israel is also illegally occupying and settling Jews in the West Bank as well. Israel, at times, also stops Palestinians from praying at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. How is this justified? Since 7th October, Israel has killed approximately 500 Palestinians in the Occopied West Bank. Last week, the Israeli terrorist army raided the Jenin camp and killed 12 people, including children. The image below shows how the number of illegal settlements in the West Bank has increased over the years.

    Since October 7th, it has become a norm for the Israeli army and illegal Israeli settlers to raid parts of the West Bank. A UN report last year stated that Israel is constantly monitoring the West Bank and controlling every part of it. Its like a lockdown imposed on them. 

   On the morning of 30th of May, the Israeli army raided on the Ramallah vegetable market and destroyed over 100 stalls and dozens of shops owned by Palestinians. They say that they did this in response to a car ramming attack that resulted in the death of 2 Israeli soldiers. The Western media, as usual, put the blame on Hamas for this attack. Well, these are just 2 Israeli soldiers killed. What about more than 35,000 Palestinian civilians killed since October 7th? What about thousands of Palestinians displaced since that time? What about those Hundreds of Thousands of Palestinians brually killed by the Israeli army since 1948? What about the illegal occupation of Palestinian land that happened and has been happening since 1948? The Hypocritic Western media and Western Politicians would never tell you this. Instead, they will just do victim blaming on innocent Palestinians.

   There are also some people who argue that there should be a Two State solution in Palestine, which is again injustice to the Palestinians. How could a state that was formed by capturing and displacing the local people be legallized by this? It's the same way as if Russia captures some parts of Ukraine and then after that proposes a Two State solution dividing the land between Russia and Ukraine. Now, would this be justified?

   If just for a moment you put yourself in the place of Palestinians you would see that you have got only 2 options either to die or to live in that miserable conditions where there is no food, shelter, clean drinking water or electricity not to mention the fact that at times Israeli army also stops aid from reaching the Palestinians and also bombs the refugee camps. There have also been reports of Israeli citizens looting and burning aid heading towards Gaza. There are no adequate health facilities available. You are constantly being bombed, and there is no shelter. You are constantly being monitored. You see dead bodies of people split into bits and pieces due to the bombings. You see dead bodies of innocent children in very miserable conditions (there body parts cut into bits and pieces), and what if one of them was your own son? Just think of this horror scene and think What would you do in this situation? You would realize that humanity has failed you. You would realize that humanity has betrayed you. Just try to imagine this scene what Palestinians always and at each and every single moment go through. Then you would do the same what Hamas is doing. You would also fight for your life for independence, and even if you die while doing this, at least your future generations should not suffer that constant trauma that you had to suffer. It's not the Palestinians who are dying, but in reality, it is humanty, which is breathing its last breath in Palestine.

    I would conclude my blog with an image of a former US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, who during one of her visit to Israel can be seen writing 'Finish them' on a bomb bound for Gaza This is not just Nikki Haley, but it is the depiction of not all but most US and Western politicians who advocate for freedom of speech, human rights, and Democracy. This is their true face, and they have got absolutely no right to advocate and lecture the world on these morals.

What Muslims Should do to help the Palestinians?

 This is my second blog on what Muslims should do in resolving the Palestine conflict. I have couple of questions to all Muslims around the globe reading this article and to all the leaders of the Ummah. Why are you still not taking any concrete steps in helping your Palestinian brothers? What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for the time when Masjid al Aqsa gets blown up by the Zionists or for the time when all of the Palestinians get mercilessly killed by the Zionists and there is no Palestinian left to mourn for? What would you expect from other Muslim countries when the same happens to you? 

     Today its the Palestinians who are suffering this brutality and who knows maybe tomorrow it would  be the Iranians and the day after that it would be the Turks and the day after that it would be the Saudis and after that it would be Pakistanis. Palestinians are waiting for the Ummah for there help against the brutality that they have been suffering for the last seven decades. They don't just want your condemnation of these attacks. They don't only want your aid. They don't only want you to organize rallies in your own country. I am not saying that all of these things do not help the Palestinian cause. They do but not that much. If you are protesting or organizing rallies then there are activists in Europe and the United States who are protesting against there own governments and against this brutality of Israel. The point I am trying to make here is that what would be the difference between them and you. Aren't we Muslims brothers. If the Palestinians are suffering then we should take more concrete steps then them because we share a special bond with the Palestinians that us the bond of Brotherhood due to Islam. Below are some sayings of  the Prophet Muhammad SAW regarding brotherhood and unity among the Muslims:

"You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it." [Sahih Bukhari 6011]

The whole Muslim Ummah is like a body. If there is pain in one part of the body then whole body feels that pain. The Palestinians are in pain then why can't other Muslims feel there pain as there own. It's like they don't even care and if Muslims do care then why aren't you going beyond just condemnation or just sending aid. Just imagine for a while that what if it were you in place of the  Palestinians then what would you expect from other Muslim nations? At that point what would you want other Muslim countries to do for you? Just sending aid or condemnation or you would want them to sanction Israel and send you arms to fight against this brutality. What would you expect from the rest of the Muslims when you watch your children and your loved ones die in front of you.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Umar:

Allah's Apostle said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection . "[Sahih Bukhari]

 As you can also see in the above Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW that all of the Muslims are brother to one another. If your brother is suffering what would you do to help him? You would go to any extent to get him out of that suffering. Similarly Palestinians are our brothers who are suffering. Just ask yourself this question: Are we doing enough to help the Palestinians? As I also mentioned above that in many Muslim countries rallies are being organized against the Israeli brutality. Governments of many Muslim nations are condemning Israel including the OIC. Again I am not saying that these things do not help the Palestine cause. Yes it does not but now if you compare this to what the United States and many Western nations have done sofar in this conflict to help Israel then we as Muslims and Muslim countries have done not even half of what US and its allies have done to help Israel. Israel and the West only shares one bond which is that they are allies but we share a very special bond of brotherhood with the Palestinians but unfortunately, we have failed the Palestinians.

   Even if this war comes to an end then Muslims should keep in mind one thing that it would not end permanently. After couple of years there would be another war between the Israelis and the Palestinians and again it would be the Palestinians who would suffer just like they have been doing for the past seven decades. The only permanent solution is that Palestine should be free and there should be no occupation or existence of the Zionist state in Palestine. Yes a Jewish nation should exist to safeguard there rights but it shouldn't be in Palestine. It should be somewhere else in the world.

Palestine Issue

   In this blog, I have writen about the Palestine issue. The region has been under constant occupation for the past few decades. Before I begin, I want to make it clear that I am in favour of a Jewish state to safeguard the rights of the Jewish people, but it shouldn't be a territory that is already inhabited by another race.

    First, I would talk about the situation and the suffering Palestinians have gone through before the attack of Hamas in Israel, and then I would talk a bit about the current situation. For the past seven decades or so, the people of Palestine have been under constant occupation by the Zionist state, and I don't like to call Israel a Jewish state because I believe this is not what Judaism teaches. These are not the teachings of Abraham (AS). Israel, for the last few decades, has murdered countless children, men, women, elderly. They have massacred the Palestinians. They have deprived them of their basic human rights like food, shelter, medication, education, healthcare, etc. Gaza is the biggest prison in the world in which about 20 million people have been imprisoned for quite some time. They have been disconnected from the rest of the world. The drinking water of Palestine is 95% contaminated. 60% of children are suffering from malnutrition. As of 2022, 84% of the children in Palestine are fearful, as compared to 50% in 2018. 80% are nervous as compared to 55%. 77% are depressed. Source: (Save the Children). Unemployment and poverty are significant. More than 80% of the Palestinians rely on humanitarian aid. These are only some of the inhumane atrocities conducted by Israel for the past few decades. In response to all these atrocities that Palestinians have faced for the last Seven decades, which includes the illegal colonization of Palestinian lands by Israel, Hamas launched an attack on Israel. Did they have any other choice besides this?

     After the Hamas attack on Israel, the situation has become even worse. Israel has laid a 'complete siege' on Gaza. Israel has now completely shut down electricity and water supplies. As of now, about 1500 people have been killed because of the Israeli raids in Gaza. According to Red Cross, due to the complete blockade imposed by Israel,, the hospitals in Gaza are on the verge of turning into Graveyards. Israel has continuously raided the civilian unarmed areas of Gaza. According to Gaza's Deputy Health Minister Yusuf Abu al Reesh, 60% of those injured by the Israeli airstrikes are women and children.

     I am writing this blog not to advocate Hamas but I am writing this blog in support of the people of Palestine. Hamas launched this attack in response to the raids conducted by the Israeli army in the West Bank for the past couple of days. Now  I want to ask the West and Western media why are you silent in this? Why aren't you condemning Israel? You condemned China for its treatment of Uighurs, and you also condemned Russia when it attacked Ukraine, and I also condemn both of them for the atrocities conducted by them. Western media says that due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many people have been killed and injured, including women and children, but aren't the Palestinians killed by Israel for the past few decades also human? Are those children and women murdered by Israel, not human beings just like the Ukrainians and just like you? Why shouldn't Israel be held accountable for the genocide of the Palestinians conducted by them for the past few decades which has even become worse for the last seven days. When Ukraine was invaded by Russia, you condemned Russia, which you were right. You supplied Ukraine with arms to support them in their resistance against Russia. Now, when Palestinians rise against the tyranny of Israel, you are condemning the oppressed people of Palestine. Ukraine has only endured this for the past year or so, what Palestinians have been going through daily for the past decades. Israel has to be condemned and held accountable just like China and Russia. You are condemning Palestinians and supplying weapons to Israel against unarmed Palestinians while sympathizing with Israel. How could you equate the genocide conducted by Israel for the last couple of decades to the resistance given by Hamas for the past couple of days? It's not Hamas who is the invader, but it is Israel who has colonized Palestine for the last seven decades or so, and in response to that, when Palestinians resist Israel just in the same way as Ukrainians did against Russia, you are calling terrorists. Isn't it your hypocrisy that when Palestinians are killed or massacred, then you are silent, and when Ukrainians are killed, you take the whole world by storm? Aren't Palestinian lives as important as Ukrainian lives? Yes, they are Ukrainian lives, European lives, American lives, Jewish lives are just as precious as Palestinian lives, Muslim lives, and Black lives because we are all human beings. You say that condemning or criticizing Israel is anti-semitic but isn't killing Muslims Islamophobic or anti-human. You all call yourself democracies while you have barred people from condemning Israel and holding rallies in support of Palestine. Isn't this undemocratic? Just consider yourself in place of those Palestinians for a moment. If the same is done to your children, to your loved ones, not for two or three days but for the past few decades, what would you do? Wouldn't you retaliate? Wouldn't you cry for help when you have your little child in your arms who was killed by the raids of the occupant army? How would it feel when one of your children is badly injured? His wounds are so serious, and you can't go to the hospital because it is full or it doesn't have the medication to cure him, and when you rise against all this oppression and the whole world, instead of aiding, you call you a terrorist? That Is What Palestinians are going through at the moment. Some people support the two-state solution in Palestine, which is unacceptable because this land belongs to Palestinians,s, and nothing could change this or legalize the illegal state of Israel. What if Russia takes control of the whole of Ukraine and then they propose a two-state solution in which they say that half of it belongs to them and the rest belongs to Ukrainians? Then would it legalize their illegal occupation of Ukraine? No, it won't. In the same way, the illegal occupation of all of Palestine can't be legalized by the two-state solution. All of Palestine belongs to Palestinians. It belongs to Muslims and nothing can change this.

     In the end, I would just say that you don't need to be a Palestinian or a Muslim to realize what I have written above. You just need to be a human or have some humanity within yourself, but unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case, which is quite shameful for humanity.
