Quran on the Beginning of the Universe

In this blog, I have written about the verse of the Quran, which tells us about the beginning of the universe.

Translation of Verse 30 of Surah Al-Anbiya

Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass, then We split them apart? And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

Explanation

In the above-mentioned verse of the Quran. Allah told us that he created the universe from one mass, and then from that, he split the heavens and earth. The Big Bang Theory agrees a lot with this verse of the Holy Quran. The Big Bang theory tells us that in the beginning, the universe was a singularity and at that point, it had infinite density, energy, and temperature. Then it exploded(expanded very rapidly) into existence and, as a result, created matter, which further evolved to form planets, stars galaxies, etc. This process of rapid explosion is referred to as Cosmic inflation. From that point until now, the universe has been expanding. In the above-mentioned verse, one mass points to a point known as singularity a point where space and time were combined together. The second part of the verse tells us that every living thing is made of water. Today, science has told us that water is an essential part of life. It makes up about 90 per cent of the weight of some organisms. In the case of humans, it makes up about 60 per cent of our weight. This verse of the Quran gives proof of the divinity of the Quran. Otherwise, a man in the 7th century could never know these scientific facts with such accuracy and it also inspires us to read the Quran not only for our guidance to the right path but also to know the immense amount of knowledge hidden in between the verses of the Quran.

Relativistic time mentioned in the Quran

In this blog, I have written about the verse of the Holy Quran in which Allah Almighty talks about the relativity of time. Translation of verse 5 of Surah As-Sajdah He conducts(governs) everything from the heavens to the earth, and then everything ascends to him on a day whose length by your reckoning is a thousand years. Explanation              The above-mentioned verse of the Holy Quran talks about a very famous concept in physics, which is the relativity of time, also known as time dilation. Late 19th and early 20th century scientists such as Lorentz, Emil Kuhn, Hermann Minkowski, Albert Einstein and many others theorized this concept, but Einstein made the greatest contribution. Time dilation deals with the fact that time is not absolute but relative. In general, time dilation is defined as how fast or how slow time will pass depending on the reference frame (accelerating/moving or non-accelerating/at rest or speeds much slower than...

Mention of the Verse of the Holy Quran which talks about time being relative

In this article, I wrote about the verse of the Quran, which mentions time being relative. Translation of Verse 47 of Surah Al-Hajj They challenge you, O Prophet, to hasten the torment(Day of Judgment/Doom's Day). And Allah will never fail in His promise. But a day with your Lord is indeed like a thousand years by your counting. Explanation                        At the beginning of this verse of Surah Al-Hajj, Allah says that the infidels challenge the Prophet Muhammad SAW in bringing the Day of Judgment or the Doom's Day before its actual time. They do so to see those punishments quickly, which they are promised by Allah for their misdeeds. It is also clearly mentioned in the second part of this verse that Allah will never fail in his promise which means that those people who have done misdeeds and disobeyed Allah will surely be punished on the day of Judgment. The last part of this verse talks about a concept in...
