‎Hadith no.233

Hadith stating that different regions may observe the crescent moon at varying times resulting in different beginnings and endings of months

Kuraib reported that Umm Fadl, daughter of Harith, sent him (Fadl, i.e. her son) to Mu'awiya in Syria. I (Fadl) arrived in Syria, and did the needful for her. It was there in Syria that the month of Ramadan commenced. I saw the new moon (of Ramadan) on Friday. I then came back to Medina at the end of the month. Abdullah bin Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) asked me (about the new moon of Ramadan) and said:

When did you see it? I said: We saw it on the night of Friday. He said: (Did) you see it yourself? I said: Yes, and the people also saw it and they fasted and Mu'awiya also fasted, whereupon he said: But we saw it on Saturday night. So we will continue to fast till we complete thirty (fasts) or we see it (the new moon of Shawwal). I said: Is the sighting of the moon by Mu'awiya not valid for you? He said: No; this is how the Messenger of Allah PBUH has commanded us. Yahya b. Yahya was in doubt (whether the word used in the narration by Kuraib) was Naktafi or Taktafi. [Sahih Muslim 1087]

Hadith Regarding Sunnah of Eating Dates before going to Pray Eid Salah

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of `Id-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas also narrated: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to eat odd number of dates. [Sahih al-Bukhari 953]

Hadith no.363

Hadith Regarding Starting and Ending the month of Ramadan

Narrated Ibn `Umar:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "When you see the crescent (of the month of Ramadan), start fasting, and when you see the crescent (of the month of Shawwal), stop fasting; and if the sky is overcast (and you can't see it) then regard the month of Ramadan as of 30 days." [Sahih al Bukhari 1900]

Hadith no.364

Sahih Hadith Regarding Women going out to pray Eid Salah

Umm 'Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered us to bring out the young girls, women in seclusion, and menstruating women for 'Eid al-Fitr and 'Eid al-Adha. (The menstruating women were to) stay away from the prayer area but participate in the good deeds and supplication of the Muslims. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what if one of us does not have a cloak?" He said: "Let her sister cover her with her cloak." [Sunan al-Darimi 1648]

Hadith no.365

Sahih Hadith Regarding the Prohibition of withholding goods in the market

Narrated Ma'mar b. Abi Ma'mar, one of the children of 'Adi b. Ka'b:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: No one withholds goods till their price rises but a sinner. I said to Sa'id (b. al-Musayyab): You withhold goods till their price rises. He said: Ma'mar used to withhold goods till their price rose.

Abu Dawud said: I asked Ahmad (b. Hanbal): What is hoarding (hukrah) ? He replied: That on which people live.

Abu Dawud said: Al-Auza'i said: A muhtakir (one who hoards) is one who withholds supply of goods in the market. [Sunan Abu Dawood 3447]

Hadith no.366

Hadith Regarding Earth being a place of Worship

Ibrahim b. Yazid al-Tayml reported:

I used to read the Qur'an with my father in the vestibule (before the door of the mosque). When I recited the ayat (verses) concerning prostration, he prostrated himself. I said to him: Father, do you prostrate yourself in the path? He said: I heard Abu Dharr saying: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the mosque that was first set up on the earth. He said: Masjid al-Haram. I said: Then which next? He said: The Masjid al-Aqsa. I said: How long is the space of time between the two? He said: Forty years. He (then) further said: The earth is a mosque for you, so wherever you are at the time of prayer, pray there. [Sahih Muslim 520 b]

Hadith no.367

Venerating the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW

Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib Al-Kindi narrated that:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Soon there will come a time that a man will be reclining on his pillow, and when one of my Ahadith is narrated he will say: 'The Book of Allah is (sufficient) between us and you. Whatever it states is permissible, we will take as permissible, and whatever it states is forbidden, we will take as forbidden.' Verily, whatever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has forbidden is like that which Allah has forbidden." [Sunan Ibn e Majah 12]

Hadith no.368

Sahih Hadith Regarding Method to seek forgiveness from Allah

It was narrated that ‘Ali said:

If I heard a hadeeth from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) Allah benefitted me as He willed thereby. If someone else told me something from him I would ask him to swear, and if he swore I would believe him. Abu Bakr told me - and Abu Bakr told the truth - that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: `There is no man who commits a sin, then does wudoo' and does it well - Mis'ar said: and prays; Sufyan said: then prays - two rak'ahs and asks Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, for forgiveness but He will forgive him.` [Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal 2]

Message to the to the Ummah Regarding the end of Ramadan and arrival of Eid al-Fitr

   As we all know that the month of Ramadan is about to end so it is quite sad that we have to wait another year for this blessed month to arrive again. May Allah except our worship, deeds, fasting, prayers, zakah, salah and other good deeds that we performed during this Holy Month. May Allah forgive our sins. An important thing which the Muslim Ummah has to keep in mind is to keep the spirit of Ramadan alive through out the year. We must do as much good deeds as we can just like how we did in the month of Ramadan. We must also refrain from doing bad deeds just like how we refrained from doing bad deeds in Ramadan. I would also like to congratulate the Ummah on the arrival of Eid Al Fitar which will arrive in just a couple of days. It is important that when we will be celebrating Eid we must not forget our Muslim brothers around the world who are facing oppression and injustice. We must pray for them and do something collectively as an Ummah to help them. We must push the leaders of the Muslim Ummah to take concrete steps to help our Muslim brothers rather then issuing empty statements that lack any sort of concrete actions. We must use this opportunity of gathering in celebrations of Eid to unite ourselves and show to the enemies of Islam that while the leaders of the Ummah are cowards but the Ummah is not. We must show America and our rulers who are slaves of America that we are united, we are strong, we care for our brothers and we fear no one but Allah.

Closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israel

    Although Eid is just about to arrive in a couple of days but one of the saddest things happening at the moment is the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israel. This is the first time since 1967 that Al-Aqsa Mosque has been closed like this. As a Muslim I am deeply saddened by this and I am sure billions of Muslims around the world like me would also be sad at this tragic sight. It is so sad that when many of us in Ramadan had the opportunity to go to Mosques for worship, praying salah in congregation, praying Taraweh in congregation and sitting in Itikaf while at the same time our Muslim brothers living in Jerusalem and from around the world who wanted to visit Al-Aqsa Mosques to worship could not do so because it has been closed by Israel and no one is allowed to pray there. This Mosque not only belongs to Palestinians but it belongs to the entire Muslim Ummah. This is not just an ordinary mosque but it is the second holiest site in Islam. According to the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW it was the second place of worship that was built on Earth. It is not a surprise for Israel to resort to these unjust measures as Israel has a history of doing such acts. It is the weakness of the Ummah especially the leaders of the Ummah that Israel gets courage to perform such acts because Israel knows that the leaders of the Ummah would not do anything to stop them. A couple of days ago some Muslim countries did condemn it but such weak statements that are devoid of any action are not helpful at all. I call upon the Ummah to use the gatherings of Eid to unite yourself and pressure the leaders of the Ummah to break their American shackles and stand up to this injustice. I also call upon the leaders of the Ummah to stop fearing America and fear Allah the Almighty who is worthy to be afraid of. If you do not have the strength and courage to lead the Ummah then handover the leadership of the Ummah to those who are worthy and capable to lead the Ummah.

My thoughts on American and Israeli strikes on Iran

     Before writing on this topic I would like to tell that as this article was written couple of days ago so it might not be updated according to the current situation. Now getting I would like to say that I have got many differences with the Iranian regime and I have often criticized them in my articles as well. I know what they did in Syria and elsewhere and I have written quite extensively on the wrongdoings of the Iranian regime in my articles. Despite these differences I support Iran in its fight against the US and Israel. Those Muslims who have got any sort of sectarian, ideological differences with the Iranian regime must bury those differences and must side with Iran. No matter how bad Iran is it is still way better then the US or Israel. Iran is a Muslim country and it has got a rich Islamic history and tradition so if Iran is defeated then this history and tradition will also be erased. Many great Muslim empires like Seljuks, Ghaznavids, Safavids, Ottomans and various Muslim empires in the Indian Subcontinent were very much culturally Persian although most of them were ethnically non Persian. Many great Muslim scholars like Imam Bukhari, Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Ghazali, Ibn Sina, Ibn Rushd, Al Farabi, Nasiruddin Al-Tusi, Nizam al-Mulk etc were also Persian. Infact many great Muslim scholars have been buried in Iran. The fall of Iran to the US and Israel would mean the loss of all this rich cultural, historical, scholarly and philosophical tradition that Iran is home to so we as Muslim Ummah can not allow a part of the Ummah like Iran that has such rich Islamic history and tradition to be defeated. At the moment I must say that Iran is fighting pretty well and I appreciate their resilience to such oppression. They have delivered quite heavy blows to the Americans and Israelis. Although I do not support Iran attacking Oil fields of neighboring Gulf states but I do support Iran targeting American military bases and Embassies that are present in these Gulf states. It is Iran's right to attack these bases which have been used to kill Millions of our Muslim brothers in Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Yemen etc. There are some Muslims who have been blinded with sectarian hate saying that they do not support Iran just because Iran is Shia. I have a simple question to all these people that Palestinians, Afghans, Syrians, Libyans, Uyghurs, Chechens and Kashmiris are Sunnis so have you done anything so far to help them? No you haven't done anything to help them either and you have also ignored their cries for help. In reality all such people are not only blinded by Sectarianism but are cowards and selfish as well who use these lame excuses to hide their cowardice. There are also some Muslims who argue that Iran is paying a price for exporting sectarianism in other Muslim countries and for its wrongdoings in Syria and rest of the Muslim countries. If this is the case then I am sure one day Saudi Arabia and the UAE will also pay a price for killing innocent Muslims in Yemen, Sudan and elsewhere. Saudi Arabia just like Iran has also been involved in exporting sectarianism in various parts of the Muslim world. Are these people arguing that if tomorrow Saudi Arabia or any other Muslim country is attacked by Israel or the US then we shouldn't support them as well for their crimes committed against their own Muslim brothers? They are all wrong no matter how much crimes Iran, Saudi Arabia or the UAE or any other Muslim country commits we should support them because according to the saying of Prophet Muhammad SAW we are all brothers and no matter how much wrongdoings our brother commits we should always be there to support him. I pray to Allah that Iran is victorious over the US and Israel and I also pray for the guidance of the Iranian regime. One thing which I would discuss briefly is that while Iran is under a brutal aggression by Israel and the US Israel is also invading Lebanon. Hezbollah is resisting Israeli oppression quite impressively and I pray to Allah to grant Hezbollah with victory over Israel.

O Allah accept the fasting and the worship performed by the Ummah during this Holy month of Ramadan. O Allah give us the strength to keep the spirit of Ramadan alive throughout the year. O Allah guide the rulers of the Ummah and if their is no guidance in their fate then replace them with those who are worthy to rule the Ummah. O Allah grant Muslims courage to stand up to their rulers if they do something unlawful. O Allah unite the Ummah and eradicate the differences that are present between different Muslim countries. O Allah grant patience, strength and steadfastness to our Muslim brothers fighting oppression in Palestine, Kashmir, East Turkistan, Yemen, Myanmar, Iran, Sudan and elsewhere. O Allah give the Muslim Ummah the strength, courage and faith to help those who are being oppressed around the world.

Hadith no.339

Hadith Regarding Paying Zakah

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger SAW as saying,'No Sadaqa (zakat) is due on less than five wasqs of (dates or grains), on less than five camel-heads, and on less than five uqiyas (of silver). [Sahih Muslim 979d]

Where;

One Wasq equals to 122.4 kg to 195 kg

5 uqiyas equals to 642 grams. Note; These measurements can vary depending on different scholastic opinions.

Hadith no.340

Sahih Hadith Regarding Punishment of not paying Zakah(Charity)

He reported God s messenger as saying,

“If God gives anyone property and he does not pay the zakat on it, his property will be made to appear to him on the day of resurrection as a large bald snake with black spots over its eyes. It will be put round his neck on the day of resurrection, then seize his lihzamatani, i.e. his jaws, then say, ‘I am your property; I am your treasure’.”

He then recited(Surah Al Imran Verse no.180), “Let not those who are niggardly think…”* [Mishkat Al Masabih 1774]

Hadith no.341

Hadith Regarding Selling things by Weighing

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira  narrated that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) employed someone as a governor at Khaibar. When the man came to Madina, he brought with him dates called Janib. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, ‘are all the dates of Khaibar of this kind?’ The man replied, ‘no’, we exchange two Sa's of bad dates for one Sa of this kind of dates (Janib), or exchange three Sa's for two.’ On that, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘don't do so, as it is a kind of usury (Riba) but sell the dates of inferior quality for money, and then buy Janib with the money’. The Prophet said the same thing about dates sold by weight. [Sahih al Bukhari 2302]

Hadith no.342

Sahih Hadith Regarding Praying During Night(Qiyam Al-Layl) and Fasting during Ramadan

Narrated Abu Hurairah:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to commend prayer at night during Ramadan, but did not command it as duty. He would say: If anyone prays during the night in Ramadan because of faith and seeking his reward from Allah, his previous sins will be forgiven for him. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died, this was the practice, and it continued thus during Abu Bakr's caliphate and early part of 'Umar's.

Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by 'Uqail, Yunus, and Abu Uwais in like manner. The version of 'Uqail goes: He who fasts during Ramadan and prays during the night. [Sunan Abu Dawood 1371]

Hadith no.345

Sahih Hadith Regarding the Prohibition of Keeping Dogs as Pets except for hunting, farming or herding livestock

Hadith no.346

Hadith Regarding Lying upon Prophet Muhammad PBUH

Gaza Board of Peace

The situation in Palestine has even worsened since the last time I wrote. There hasn't been a single day without Israel violating the ceasefire. They also don't allow sufficient aid trucks to enter Gaza. I have discussed briefly in my previous articles about the so called 'Board of Peace' and you can also view details yourself from credible Media outlets so I will not those details again. What I would discuss is the breaking of the so called 'Liberal or rules based world order'. Two weeks ago in the launching ceremony of this board of peace in Davos Trump said that after achieving their goals in Gaza they will work to solve other conflicts. Now what this statement means is that this board of peace is going to be a parallel entity to the UN. Trump's statement also means that the UN has failed to resolve any conflict. The UN right from the beginning was a mouth piece of World powers to dominate this world. It was formed after World War 2 to brand colonialism into a more sophisticated manner. The World powers used the rules made by the UN to ensure that the whole World is held hostage to them and this is the reason that the UN hasn't resolve any conflict infact it has made things worse. Now finally the US has also realized this so now the whole is transitioning from the phase of 'overt colonialism' which was under the umbrella of the UN to the phase of 'naked colonialism' where no rules matter at all but what matters is who is more powerful. If you are strong or powerful everyone will support you nobody will care if you are right or wrong. This was also seen earlier this year in Venezuela when the US kidnapped Venezuela's President to confiscate their resources. As I said only what matters is who has more power. While this was always true that the UN and the whole world danced to the tune of the Powerful nations but before it was done secretly while it is being done openly. Now if I get back to the situation in Palestine then the People of Palestine are right but weak whereas Israel is a colonial entity but as it is powerful so everything will be done what suits them not the Palestinians. All of those nations need to be criticized who are part of this board of peace. If I talk about the West then the West doesn't have any set of defined morals or ethics and they have a history of colonizing people, capturing their resources and then lecturing the world on Human rights. They have never apologized to the world for their crimes. If I talk about Muslim countries then the Muslim countries are different from the West. Islam has a defined set of rules and ethics that ensure Justice but Muslim nations do not follow these rules but they follow the rules created by the UN. What Israel could not achieve in two years Muslim nations will try to achieve. All these Muslim nations who are part of the board of peace are doing it because the US says them to do so. Another reason is that most Muslim leaders fear the US more then they fear Allah. I call upon the Muslim leaders to unite themselves, establish Justice and fear Allah because only he is the one who should be feared. Muslim countries shouldn't help the US and Israel in achieving their evil ambitions. The Ummah didn't do much to help Hamas or to stop Israel when it was killing our Palestinian brother but now they are voluntarily going to Gaza to legitimize the Israeli occupation. My question to the Muslim Ummah is that Why don't you fight Israel who is oppressing your Palestinian brothers? Why don't you act according to what Allah says in the Quran regarding helping those who are being oppressed. Allah says in the Quran;

And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children who cry out, “Our Lord! Deliver us from this land of oppressors! Appoint for us a saviour; appoint for us a helper—all by Your grace.” [Surah An-Nisa Verse no.75]

Muslim countries should not go to Gaza to murder innocent Palestinians. I call upon the Muslim Ummah to remember what the Prophet Muhammad SAW said regarding the Unity of the Ummah that 'Every Muslim is a brother to one another'. Those Palestinian men are our brothers, the Palestinian women are like our sisters and the Palestinian children are like our own children so I question the Ummah that why are you going to Gaza to help Israel in killing your brothers and sisters. Why didn't you go to Gaza to stop Israel from killing Palestinians? The Muslim leaders must unite against the West and help their brothers and sisters in Palestine and elsewhere who are being oppressed. If I talk about the unity of the Ummah then there have been good developments in the last couple of weeks regarding the Unity of the Ummah. Türkiye, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan are strengthening their relations. This is a very good sign and I pray to Allah Almighty that this brings benefit to the Ummah. I would like to quote a verse from the Holy Quran in which Allah says;

The believers are but one brotherhood, so make peace between your brothers. And be mindful of Allah so you may be shown mercy. [Surah Al-Hujurat Verse no.10]

Talks between Iran and the US

         Currently talks are underway between Iran and the US in Oman. Although both sides claim that talks are going in a positive direction but reality is quite opposite of this. Iran is not willing to compromise its peaceful Nuclear program and its missile programe whereas the US is still increasing its military presence in the region and has sanctioned certain Iranian companies linked to Iran's oil exports. This is the hypocrisy of the US that it allows Israel which is a colonial entity to possess Nuclear weapons but it doesn't allow Iran to even possess peaceful Nuclear technology let alone having Nuclear weapons. Iran must remain steadfast against the unjust US pressure and should not compromise on its Nuclear weapons and its missile. Iran must move forward in its Nuclear ambitions and should work to develop Nuclear weapons. Now when the global world order is collapsing it is necessary for a country like Iran which has an Anti-American policy to have nukes. Iranian regime should learn from the mistakes of Qaddafi and Saddam Hussein as they also abandon their Nuclear ambitions when they were pressured by the US. After that both were crushed by the US. Although it would be quite difficult to avoid US pressure because years of US sanctions have really devastated the Iranian economy but in this regard other brotherly Muslim nations should step forward to help Iran avoid US pressure and also to improve the Iranian economy. Yes I admit that the Iranian regime has done many bad things in the past against other Muslim countries but Muslim countries should move forward and cooperate with Iran. They should forgive Iran just like how the Prophet Muhammad PBUH forgave all his enemies at the time of the Conquest of Makkah. All other Muslim countries should act upon this Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Surely the atrocities committed by the Iranian regime against other Muslim countries are not comparable to the atrocities that the enemies of Prophet Muhammad PBUH committed against him. I also admit that on many instances the Iranian regime has also faced injustice by other Muslim countries and I also call upon the Iranian regime to forget about the past, move forward and forgive other Muslim nations. They should also act upon the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH of forgiving others. All the Muslim countries and Iran should apologize to each other for whatever wrongdoings that they have done against each other and should move forward. In this regard I would also quote a Verse from the Holy Quran in which Allah says;

Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not dispute with one another, or you would be discouraged and weakened. Persevere! Surely Allah is with those who persevere. [Surah Al-Anfal Verse no.46]

Kashmir Issue

       I would also like to discuss briefly about the Kashmir Issue. Our Muslim brothers in Kashmir have been facing persecution and genocide at the hands of India. Kashmiris are very brave people and they have a long History of resisting occupation. Before the partition of the Subcontinent they were resisting British occupation and now they are resisting Indian occupation. I pray to Allah to grant our Kashmiri brothers steadfastness and patience so that they can keep on resisting the atrocities committed against them. I also call upon the Ummah to help their Kashmiri brothers. This issue does not only belong to Pakistan or Kashmiris but this is a point of concern for the entire Ummah and they must do whatever it takes to help their Kashmiri brothers.

O Allah grant patience, strength and steadfastness to our Muslim brothers fighting oppression in Palestine, Kashmir, East Turkistan, Yemen, Myanmar, Sudan and elsewhere. O Allah give the Muslim Ummah the strength, courage and faith to help those who are being oppressed around the world.

'Ubaidullah when the latter marched upon Haruriyya (Khawarij) informing him that the Messenger of Allah SAW  in one of those days when lie was confronting the enemy waited until the sun had declined. Then he stood up (to address the people) and said:

"O ye men, do not wish for an encounter with the enemy. Pray to Allah to grant you security; (but) when you (have to) encounter them, exercise patience, and you should know that Paradise is under the shadows of the swords. Then the Messenger of Allah SAW stood up (again) and said: O Allah. Revealer of the Book, Disperser of the clouds, Defeater of the hordes, put our enemy to rout and help us against them." [ Sahih Muslim 1742a]

Sahih Hadith regarding Virtues of Ali(May Allah be pleased with him) (Hadith of Ghadeer e Khum)

The Prophet Muhammad SAW said;"For whomever I am his Mawla(Master, Leader) then 'Ali is his Mawla(Master, Leader)." [Al Tirmidhi 3713]

Sahih Hadith regarding Virtues of Umar(May Allah be pleased with him)

Ibn Abbas said that:

When (the dead body of) `Umar was put on his deathbed, the people gathered around him and invoked (Allah) and prayed for him before the body was taken away, and I was amongst them. Suddenly, I felt somebody taking hold of my shoulder and found out that he was `Ali bin Abi Talib. `Ali invoked Allah's Mercy for `Umar and said, 'O `Umar! You have not left behind you a person whose deeds I like to imitate and meet Allah with more than I like your deeds. By Allah! I always thought that Allah would keep you with your two companions, for very often I used to hear the Prophet SAW said, 'I, Abu Bakr and `Umar went (somewhere); I, Abu Bakr and `Umar entered (somewhere); and I, Abu Bakr and `Umar went out."' [Sahih al-Bukhari 3685]
