Hadith no.244

Hadith regarding reward of Spending Money on your Family

Narrated Abu Masud Al-Ansari:

The Prophet PBUH said, "When a Muslim spends something on his family intending to receive Allah's reward it is regarded as Sadaqa for him." [Sahih al Bukhari 5351]

Hadith no.245

Hadith  regarding reward of Giving Charity

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger PBUH said, "Allah said, 'O son of Adam! Spend, and I shall spend on you." [Sahih al Bukhari 5352]

Hadith no.246

Hadith regarding discription of Paradise

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle PBUH as saying:

He who would get into Paradise (would be made to enjoy such an everlasting) bliss that he would neither become destitute, nor would his clothes wear out, nor his youth would decline. [Sahih Muslim 2836]

Hadith no.247

Sahih Hadith regarding cutting the Hand of a person who steals

‘Aisha(May Allah be pleased with her) said Quraish were anxious about the Makhzumi woman who had committed theft and asked, “Who will speak to God’s Messenger about her?” Then they said, “Who will be bold enough for it but Usama bin Zaid, God’s Messenger’s friend.” So Usama spoke to him and Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, “Are you interceding regarding one of the punishments prescribed by God?” He then got up and gave an address, saying, “What destroyed your predecessors was just that when a person of rank among them committed a theft they left him alone, but when a weak one of their number committed a theft they inflicted the prescribed punishment on him. I swear by God that if Fatima daughter of Muhammad should steal I would have her hand cut off.”

(Bukhari and Muslim). In a version by Muslim she said that a Makhzumi woman used to borrow goods and deny having received them, so the Prophet gave orders that her hand should be cut off. Her family went and spoke to Usama and he spoke about her to God's Messenger. Then he mentioned the tradition in similar form to what has preceded. [Mishqat al-Masabih 3610]

Hadith no.248

Sahih Hadith regarding removal of a Muslim's sins when he is sick

Narrated Umm al-Ala:

The Messenger of Allah PBUH visited me while I was sick. He said: Be glad, Umm al-Ala' for Allah removes the sins of a Muslim for his illness as fire removes the dross of gold and silver. [Sunan Abu Dawood 3092]

Hadith no.249

Hadith regarding someone who acts according to the the Quran and recites Surah al-Baqarah and Surah al-Imran

An-Nawwas bin Sam'an said he heard the Apostle PBUH say:

On the Day of Resurrection the Qur'an and those who acted according to it will be brought with Surah al-Baqara and AI 'Imran preceding them. The Messenger of Allah PBUH likened them to three things, which I did not forget afterwards. He (the Holy Prophet) likened them to two clouds, or two black canopies with light between them, or like two flocks of birds in ranks pleading for one who recited them. [Sahih Muslim 805]

This is a small portion from my article in which I wrote about the role the Muslim Ummah should play in the Palestine Conflict.

Israel a new reality? Can deal of the century be compared with the treaty of Hudaibiyah?

There are some Muslims who argue that Muslims should accept Israel as a reality and move on. While doing so they say that Prophet Muhammad SAW also signed the Treaty of Hudaibiyah with the pegans of Makkah. Those who say this should read that treaty. That treaty recognized the Muslim power in Arabia and it was requested by pegans of Makkah because they feared that Muslims were coming to conquer Makkah but in reality, Muslims were only coming to perform Umrah with sacrificial animals and without weapons. It was a ten-year peace treaty which ensured that the Muslims would not conquer Makkah for 10 years. It was broken by a tribe which was allied with the pegans of Makkah when they attacked a tribe allied with Muslims. As a result, Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions entered Makkah and it was liberated peacefully. The point I am trying to make here is that the background of the reconciliation treaty of Hudaibiyah was completely different from that agreement which accepts Palestine being divided between Israel and Palestinians. Before the treaty of Hudaibiyah, the Pegans of Makkah did not capture a part of Madinah and then it was decided that Madinah would be divided between Muslims and Pegans of Makkah but rather it was requested by Pegans of Makkah to secure Makkah from being conquered by the Muslims. It also asserted the rights of Muslims over the Holy Kaaba and due to that treaty, Muslim power was also recognised by the Pagans of Makkah. It did not allow Muslims to perform Umrah that year but they were allowed to perform Umrah the next year. On one important point before the treaty was that Prophet Muhammad SAW sent Uthman ibn Affan(May Allah be pleased with him) to negotiate with the Makkans but a false rumour was spread that he was martyred by the Quraish of Makkah. On that Prophet Muhammad SAW pledged allegiance under the tree with his companions to avenge Uthman and fight the Makkans. On knowing that the Makkans sent their missionaries to negotiate or request a peace deal to stop Muslims from doing that and as a result, the Treaty of Al-Hudaibiyah was signed. In no way can that treaty be compared with the 'deal of the century' which sought to recognise Israel. What about all the people that have been martyred by Israel during the last seven decades? Will their blood go in vain?

Relativistic time mentioned in the Quran

In this blog, I have written about the verse of the Holy Quran in which Allah Almighty talks about the relativity of time. Translation of verse 5 of Surah As-Sajdah He conducts(governs) everything from the heavens to the earth, and then everything ascends to him on a day whose length by your reckoning is a thousand years. Explanation              The above-mentioned verse of the Holy Quran talks about a very famous concept in physics, which is the relativity of time, also known as time dilation. Late 19th and early 20th century scientists such as Lorentz, Emil Kuhn, Hermann Minkowski, Albert Einstein and many others theorized this concept, but Einstein made the greatest contribution. Time dilation deals with the fact that time is not absolute but relative. In general, time dilation is defined as how fast or how slow time will pass depending on the reference frame (accelerating/moving or non-accelerating/at rest or speeds much slower than...

Mention of the Verse of the Holy Quran which talks about time being relative

In this article, I wrote about the verse of the Quran, which mentions time being relative. Translation of Verse 47 of Surah Al-Hajj They challenge you, O Prophet, to hasten the torment(Day of Judgment/Doom's Day). And Allah will never fail in His promise. But a day with your Lord is indeed like a thousand years by your counting. Explanation                        At the beginning of this verse of Surah Al-Hajj, Allah says that the infidels challenge the Prophet Muhammad SAW in bringing the Day of Judgment or the Doom's Day before its actual time. They do so to see those punishments quickly, which they are promised by Allah for their misdeeds. It is also clearly mentioned in the second part of this verse that Allah will never fail in his promise which means that those people who have done misdeeds and disobeyed Allah will surely be punished on the day of Judgment. The last part of this verse talks about a concept in...
