In this article, I have written about the Situation in Syria, the hypocricy of HTS, Turkiye, and other Middle Eastern countries, Lack of adequate response of HTS on Israeli airstrikes, the Hypocricy of Russia, Iran, and Iranian proxies, and the brutality of Al-Assad regime, Brutality of Al-Assad regime during the Civil War, A way forward for Syria and Iran, Ceasfire between Hamas and Israel, Message to those Muslims who supported Trump in his re-election campaign.
I have also addressed the following questions; Is everyone who is against the US and the West a good guy? Was Bashar even loyal to the forces that were loyal to him? Was Bashar a freedom fighter for the Palestinians? Why didn't the Rebels go to fight Israel instead of fighting Bashar? Iran and Hezbollah were on the right side in the case of Palestine but on the wrong side in the case of Syria. Can you be anti-Assad and pro-Palestinian at the same time? Has Hamas succeeded or failed?
SITUATION OF SYRIA Syria has been ruled by the Al-Assad regime since since 1971 when Hafez al-Assad became president following the coup of the Ba'ath party until Bashar al-Assad was ousted on the 8th of December 2024. Now many of our Muslim brothers and sisters have argued that this has benefited Israel and that Bashar al Assad and the Al Assad regime was a blessing for the Palestinian cause. The current situation in Syria has exposed the hypocrisy of all those who are in favor of the current Syrian regime headed by Ahmad al-Sharra, aka Julani, and those as well who were or are favoring the Al-Assad regime.
Hypocricy of HTS, Turkiye and Other Middle Eastern countries
I would first like to talk about those who are supporting the current Syrian regime headed by HTS (Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham). The biggest supporter of the revolution which ousted the brutal Al-Assad regime is probably Turkiye. Turkiye is probably the one which has turned out to be the winner in this situation. Turkiye has also vowed to support the current regime by providing them financial and military aid. How close Turkiye is to the current regime can be seen by the fact that just a couple of days ago Julani was hosted by Erdogan in Ankara. This leaves us with no doubt that Turkiye is the biggest benficiary of the current situation in Syria. The question which needs to be asked here is that while Syria was also undergoing genocide at the hands of Bashar al-Assad which was supported by Russian, Iran, and Iranian proxies like Hezbollah, while there was a similar situation that the Palestinians have been going through at the hands of Israel. This just shows how hypocrite the Turkish authorities are that they can provide military and intelligence aid to those fighters who ousted Bashar but can't to the same to help Hamas against Israel. The reason is that Turkiye, like most other Muslim nations, cares about its own strategic interests rather than the suffering of the Ummah. It was in their interest to aid Syrian fighters who fought against Al-Assad, but it wasn't in their strategic interest to aid Hamas, so in this case, they just did lip service, which merely helps the Palestinians. Other Middle Eastern powers like Saudia Arabia and even UAE have also backed the current Syrian regime and Julani was also hosted by Muhammad Bin Salman in Riyad. A very interesting point that needs to be mentioned here is that most of the Middle Eastern regimes, like Saudia Arabia and UAE, etc, are no less brutal than the Al-Assad regime. They are probably doing this to counter Iranian influence in Syria, or they probably don't want the same thing to happen to them, which happened to Bashar.
Just after the ouster of the Al-Assad regime, Israel started to attack Syria with airstrikes, destroying almost all of Syria's military capability and not only conquered all of Gullen Heights but encroached in Syrian territory, reaching as far as the suburbs of Damascus. While all this was taking place, Julani and the HTS-led Syrian regime were silent, and their response to Israel was very weak, which encouraged Israel to carry out more strikes. Julani's response to Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah not to interfere in Syria's situation was stronger than his response to Israel's takeover of Syrian territory. While it must be admitted that Iran and all its proxies, including Hezbollah, should be appreciated for their fight against Israel but their role in Syria has been negative, which I will discuss afterwards. This still can not deny the fact that Israel is a bigger threat to Syria and the rest of the Muslim Ummah but ironically the response of Julani-led Syria and Turkiye was not as strong as their response to Iran and the rest of its proxies which really raises eyebrows on the current Syrian regime and those countries who support them.
Lack of adequate response of HTS on Israeli airstrikes
When Julani was asked by a British-based journalist of Bangladeshi origin, Dilly Hussein, about his lack of adequate response to Israel's violations of the Syrian border after the fall of the Al-Assad regime then, he replied that "Syria is in a rebuilding phase, and it can not afford another armed conflict with another country." In my opinion, this is a pretty valid argument because of the fact the situation of Syria due to the civil war is not that much different than that of Gaza, and going into a confrontation with Israel can make matters worse for Syria. This still doesn't mean that Israel should be allowed a free hand to capture Syrian territory. The current Syrian regime made a huge tactical blunder by leaving their border with Israel defenseless as after the fleeing of Bashar al-Assad, his loyal army left their positions which allowed Israel to make inroads into Syria. Even if the intentions of the current Syrian regime are good and if they plan to do something against Israel, then they will be at a tactical disadvantage because Israel can target them at any time they want. A statement from Julani regarding Israeli airstrikes, which I think is just ridiculous was that "Israel shouldn't conduct airstrikes because they were targeting Iranian proxies, and now they are gone, so they shouldn't do that...." It seems as if he is begging Israel. These sort of weak statements coming from him not only wastes the sacrifices made by the rebels and Syrian people against Bashar's brutality but also make this revolution look like an American plot. If Julani is really sincere to those rebels who embraced martyrdom fighting Bashar, if he is sincere to the Syrian people and to Muslim ummah, then he should give a strong response to Israel.
Hypocricy of Russia, Iran, and Iranian proxies/ Brutality of the Al-Assad regime
The current situation in Syria also exposes the hypocrisy of those who are against or are suspicious of Julani and HTS due to them being a former ally of Al-Qaeda. Mostly, they belong to the leftist or anti-imperialist circles or are either in favor of Iran or Russia. They argue that the overthrow of Al-Assad was an American and Israel plot to weaken Russia, Iran, and various Iranian proxies who are fighting Israel. They also say that Bashar al-Assad was a freedom fighter and a very good ruler who cared about the sufferings of Palestinians and Syrians and his ouster could damage the Palestinian cause. The harsh reality here is that Bashar and the Al-Assad regime were quite the opposite of this. They crushed each and every opposition who tried to challenge their dictatorship. Before Bashar al-Assad his father Hafez al-Assad was president. Hafez al-Assad became president through a coup in 1971, which was the beginning of the Al-Assad regime in Syria. He was a brutal dictator who crushed each and everyone who dared to challenge his autocratic leadership. One instance of his brutality was observed in the 1982 Hama massacre which resulted in the killing of more than 40000 civilians, according to the Syrian Network for Human Rights. This also resulted in the displacement of more than 15000 civilians and deporting more than 100000 civilians. The old city centre was bombed and a heavy media blockade was imposed to isolate Hama from the outside world. This was done to quell the uprising of the Syrian branch of Ikhwan ul Muslimeen, the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood, which was a key opposition to the autocratic rule of Hafez al-Assad. The casualties also includes more then 400 activists of Syrian Muslim Brotherhood as well. Hafez al-Assad created a cult of personality centred around his family to strengthen the hold of the Al-Assad family not only on the Ba'ath party but on Syria as well. He was the one who promoted sectarian divide and violence in Syria against the Sunni majority in a similar way Saddam did in Iraq against the Shia muslims. Hafez positioned Alawites in all major government and military positions. He propagated the propoganda in the Alawites, the Druze and other minorities that the only way they can be safe is keeping Sunni majority out of power.
Brief history of the Syrian Civil War
He was succeeded by his son Bashar al-Assad who was no less brutal than his father but some evidence also suggests that he was even more brutal. People were tired of the brutal rule of Al-Assad regime but they had been kept silence so that they don't rise against the regime. Nevertheless, the hatred of people for the the Al-Assad regime kept on increasing and now the people were getting tired. In March 2011 large scale protest erupted against the government. As usuall the regime tried to quell the uprising with brutality. As a result many armed rebel factions formed against the government and a full scale war erupted.
ISIS and many other terrorist organisations also started to participate in the war. Meanwhile, Iran along with its proxies and Russia also came to support Bashar al-Assad. The US also came in guise of countering Russia but the fighting between all of these groups made the situation of Syrians even worse. On one side it was ISIS which was torturing, butchering and killing people while on the other side it was Bashar and his loyal forces which increased there brutality and killing of innocent Syrian civilians. The entrance of ISIS in this civil war really jeapardized the image of the people or factions who rose against Bashar al-Assad because now Bashar had the excuse that all those rising against his brutality are allied with ISIS and are 'takfiri' or 'wahabis'. This sort of propoganda was also done by Russia, Iran and all the Iranian proxies. All of them were killing innocent civilians and dehumanizing them by labeling them Takfiris. While on the other hand the US was legitimizing its airstrikes on Syria on the name of targeting ISIS strongholds. The point I am trying to emphasize here is that all of these groups whether it was the US, Iran, Hezbollah, Russia, ISIS or Bashar's forces were fighting to protect there own geopolitical goals while the general sufferings of the Syrian people continued to increase.
Is everyone who is against the US and the West a good guy?
If Bashar was opposed by the West then it doesn't mean that he was a good guy. A common misconception here in the minds of many Muslims is that anyone who opposes the West or is opposed by the West is a hero. This sort of narrative is also supported by the Leftists circles that they are the good guys and they are anti-imperialists while anyone who is against them is just a Western puppet. While doing this they try to legitimize there own crimes or human rights violations. Saddam Hussein was against the West and to some extent against Israel and also supported Hamas but he was also involved in the human rights violations against the Shia Muslim community in Iraq. He waged war against neighbouring Muslim countries of Iran and Kuwait. He was also anti-imperialist and espoused Arab nationalism and socialism. Although it must be admitted that he was executed by the US and its allies on wrong charges. Even though he did commit lots of human rights violations but still neither the US nor any other country has the right to attack Iraq and remove him. The charges were that Iraq was developing chemical weapons while reality this was all a lie propagated by Western Media so that they can attack Iraq and capture there natural resources. He was anti-imperialist and pro-Palestinian so that could also be the reason of his ouster. The US and its allies have no right to remove any leader from power just because he is a tyrant. This is for the people of that country to decide.
If you take Russia as an other example then Russia tries to push this narrative through Pro-Russian Muslim politicians or journalists that they are an ally to the Muslims while the US is an enemy. The reality is that Russian airstrikes in Syria to support Bashar al-Assad killed many Syrians. What is the purpose of Russian military bases in Syria? It is to exert there own influence in the region just like the US does. Russia is also against the establishment of Muslim Caliphate and Putin in the EU-Russia summit of 2002 said that he was against the establishment of Caliphate on Russian land by this he meant Chechnya where freedom fightets were fighting to liberate Chechnya from Russian occupation. Putin had no right to conquer Chechnya and to stop them from establishing Caliphate. To this day Russia still has a considerable influence in Central Asian Muslim countries through its puppet regimes just like the US has in the gulf through puppet monarchies. Russia also has a military base in Tajikistan like the US has its bases in the Gulf. The Russian empire was one of the main beneficiaries of the distruction of the Ottoman Caliphate along with the British and the French. How could the Human rights violations of the Soviet Union against all religious groups including Islam and the destrustion of thousands of Mosques in Central Asia be forgotten? How could there crimes against Chechnyan people and the freedom fighters of Chechnya who were fighting to free their land from Russian occupation be forgotten and this continued even after the distruction of the Soviet Union in the First and Second Chechnyan wars. You would see Putin now and then condemning Israel and the West for there crimes and presenting himself as an ally of the Muslims. His government has built about 3000 mosques in Russia but what about thousands of Mosques destroyed by Russian airstrikes in Syria and what about all the Russian puppet regimes in Central Asia which have made life difficult for practicing Central Asian Muslims. For example the burka ban in Kyrgyzstan etc. The point which I am trying to emphasize here is that Russia just projects itself as an ally to the Muslims so that Muslims can be on his side and not with the US and its allies. It is just to expand there influence. The same tactics are also done by China. It also opposes the West on many issues and advocates for the Palestinian cause. While it is also doing genocide, human rights violations against the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang province(East Turkistan) and Tibetans in Tibet. In short Russia and China are just as imperialist as the West but they try to legitimize there imperialism by siding now and then with the Muslims or being anti-imperialist while carrying out Human rights violations themselves and when someone questions them then they label him a Western puppet. When the Leftists circles or countries like the China or Russia criticize the West or side with the Muslims then it is not because they are friends of the Muslims but it is to propagate there expansionist agenda and use Muslims against the West. The same thing which the West also does.
ISIS an American plot
The US and the West has this tendency to sponsor terrorism and instability in other nations to capture there resources thats what they have been doing in various African and Middle Eastern countries so they also did this here so that they can target those same terrorist organizations that they sponsored and in the guise of doing that capture there resources and expand there geopolitical influence. This is what they also did in Syria and there is a lot of evidence which suggests that even ISIS was sponsored by the West. When ISIS took part in the Syrian civil war they instead of fighting Bashar's forces started fighting against those who were fighting Bashar. They captured large swaths of Syrian territory and started doing the same sort of massacare and butchering of Syrian civilians just like the Al-Assad regime was doing for decades. They had there own version of Islam and thought of everyone besides them as Kafir. It won't be wrong to say that they were more focused on killing innocent Syrians rather then stopping all those that had invaded Syrian rather be the US or its allies or rather be it Russia or rather be it Iran or its proxies.
Brutality of Al-Assad regime during the Civil War
As I mentioned earlier that on one side it was ISIS and the US allies which were fighting each other while also killing innocent Syrian civilians. On the other side it was Bashar al-Assad and his forces which increased there torture and killing of innocent Syrian civilians who were tired of his dictatorship. It is also said that the regime forces also used chemical weapons on opposition strongholds along with conducting airstrikes. The main victim of all these attacks were Syrian civilians. The horrors of Syedna prison and the torture carried out in it and various other prisons around the country tells how 'inhumane' Bashar and regime really were. According to TRT world journalist Hasan Abdullah and various media reports many prisoners who were freed from Syedna prison had been brutality tortured both mentally and physically. Some of them had been in prison since the time of Hafez al-Assad and they did even know that he had died 24 years ago i.e they didn't know how much time had passed in the outside world. There were women who were raped by the regime soldiers on a regular bases and some of them had even given birth in prison. Life was made a living hell for them and there only crime was to challenge the brutality of this 'Taghut" named Bashar al-Assad.
According to Syrian-American physician Dr Zaher Sahloul who is a humanitarian known for his efforts to providing medical aid to those in need. He said that the Assad-regime and Russia carried out more then 650 attacks on hospitals in Syrian which also resulted in the killing of more then 950 doctors and nurses over the past 13 years. They had to build underground hospitals to treat patients. Now a days a whistleblower 'Caesar' whose real name is Fared al Madhan is also making rounds in the media. He exposed the brutality of the Al-Assad regime and how they used to torture innocent civilians in prisons.
Was Bashar even loyal to his forces that were loyal to him?
Many of the soldiers in Bashar's forces were underpaid while he was enjoying a lavish lifestyle in his palace in Damascus. He had one of the most expensive cars in his garage while his soldiers were underpaid and the Syrian civilians were suffering from poverty. The way he fled Syria without even telling anyone close to him like his brother or personal secretary shows how un loyal and coward he was. Thats how most Taghuts are.
Was Bashar a freedom fighter for the Palestinians?
Iran to protect its geopolitical interests in the region made Bashar a part of axis of resistance against Israel of which Hamas and Hezbollah are also part of. They say that under Bashar Syria posed a great threat to Israel and it was a way to supply weapons to Hamas. The reality is that Bashar banned Hamas in Syria and it wasn't allowed to operate its offices in Syria. According to various media sources like Al Quds al-arabi and Middle East monitor the Assad regime executed more then 94 members of Hamas in its prisons without trial. It also includes the commander of Al-Qassam brigade Mamoun al-Jaloudi. Even though the ties between Hamas and Al-Assad regime were restored to some extent two years ago but the regime still viewed Hamas as 'traitorous organisation' and hence it was banned. According to Turkish Media outlet Yeni Safak English the current Syrian regime has lifted this ban which is probably one of the best thing they have done after ousting Bashar. So how could Bashar be a freedom fighter if he was detaining Palestinians and banning Hamas. Israel had conducted various airstrikes into Syria since 7th of October 2023 mainly against Iranian militias. Why didn't Bashar retaliate? Israel was only targeting Iranian proxies and not Bashar or his forces because they knew that he didn't pose a threat to them while Iranian proxies did pose a threat to Israel. So Israel's fear was not Bashar but Iranian proxies in Syria and the reason why they were happy for Bashar's ouster was because with him being gone Iranian didn't have the land route and supply chain to approach Israel. This was probably the only good that Bashar did in his entire life. Bashar was also silent and didn't express condolences at the martyrdom of Ismael Haniyah and Yahya Sinwar which proved how much of a 'Pro-Palestinian' he was.
Why didn't the Rebels go to fight Israel instead of fighting Bashar?
Well the same question could also be asked to Bashar that why didn't his army go to fight Israel? Before the civil war did Bashar ever had a confrontation with Israel? No it did not infact Hafez al-Assad had an agreement with Israel that recognized the Gullen Heights as part of Israel. If you put yourself in the place of the Syrian people living under the tyranny of Bashar then you would see that the fight of the rebels against Bashar was justified in the same way as Hamas and Hezbollah's fight against Israel is justified. Then you would get to know that why the Syrian people were happy after his ouster. You don't ask Bashar that why did he commit so much atrocities against the Syrians but you are asking Syrian people about there rebellion against his tyranny. Its the same as if you are asking Hezbollah and Hamas about there fight against Israeli genocide.
I do admit that many of the rebel factions may have been supported by the US or maybe even Israel and there is a strong evidence to suggest this but it still doesn't mean that all of them are supported by the US. After all there were also Hypocrites among the Prophet Muhammad SAW's companions(Sahaba) and one example can be of Abdullah ibn Abi. Does it mean that all of the Sahaba were Hypocrites? Does it mean that the rightly guided caliphs i.e Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali(May Allah have mercy on all of them) were also hypocrites? So it doesn't mean that all of those who rose arms against Bashar were all American agents and even if some of them were it doesn't mean the revolution against Bashar was American plot to remove him nor does it legitimize Bashar's brutality.
Iran and Hezbollah on right side in case of Palestine but on a wrong side in case of Syria
I do acknowledge and admit Hezbollah and Iran for its efforts against Israel but in the case of Syria they were on the wrong side. They supported a tyrant who instead of helping the Palestinians has also jeopardized Iran and Hezbollah's fight against Israel. This time around Hezbollah could not inflict as much damage to Israel as they did in the past. It won't be wrong to say that this time around Hezbollah and various Iranian proxies have been weakened a lot due to Israeli attacks. Although it didn't cause much damage to Iran. It must be admitted that it was Hezbollah which fought bravely and ended the Israeli occupation of South Lebanon back in 2000. It also caused heavy blows to Israel in the 2006 Lebanon war. However in its current war with Israel it hasn't been as successful as it was in the past. Hezbollah along with various other Iranian proxies have been given a lot of bloody noses due to Israeli attacks. The reason for this is that there focus for the last 12 years was divided between protecting Bashar's criminal regime and also fighting Israel. They were so preoccupied with protecting Bashar's regime that they could not focus on fighting Israel.
Ouster of Bashar a blessing in disguise for Hezbollah?
The ouster of Bahar can be a blessing of disguise for Iran, Hezbollah and various Iranian proxies. Maybe know they can focus more on Israel rather then protecting Bashar.
Can you be Anti-Assad and pro-Palestinian at the same time?
For many Syrians there is no difference between their fight against Bashar and the Palestinian resistance against Israel. The reason is that both are going through a similar situation and both are fighting against brutal tyrannic regime. Bashar was bound to fall and with Allah’s will Isreal will also fall.
Aftermath of the Syrian Civil war
The result of all this is the killing of more then a million Syrians and more then 12 million being displaced around the world and most of the infrastructure of Syria has been destroyed. The rebuilding of Syria will take a long time and lot of money will also be required.
A way forward for Syria and Iran
Allah says in the Quran
"And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah . Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers." [Surah al-Shura verse no.40]
I know it would be difficult for Syrians to forgive the Al-Assad regime, US, Russia and Iran. Yes I admit that Iran and Hezbollah were wrong for there villainous role in the civil war. I also admit to the fact that Iran should provide financial assistance to Syria because one of the reason behind destruction of Syria is Iran. Iran should punish all its soldiers and commanders who took part in the persecution of Syrians. It should realize that they were wrong and it should apologize to the Syrian people. I think by providing financial aid and assistance in rebuilding of Syria maybe Syrians can forgive Iran and maybe forget some of the horrors that they faced during the civil war. The Syrian regime under Ahmad al-Shara should also widen its heart and try to forget those horrors. I know it would be difficult for many Syrians to do this but you should try to give them a second chance. According to some media reports last month Julani was ready to allow Russian military bases to operate in Syria on the condition of handing over Bashar to them. While Russia was also helping Bashar by conducting brutal airstrikes rebel held areas but Julani is ready to establish ties with Russia and according Al Jazeera and Press TV yesterday Julani and Putin also had a phone call. Then I ask if you can allow for Russia to operate in Syria then why can't you be so flexible about your Muslim brotherly nation i.e Iran. Türkiye is also conducting airstrikes in Kurdish held regions of Syria. You are ready to establish ties with every nation but not with Iran? I admit that they did wrong but so did Russia. You are all Muslim brothers so please try to end these grudges. If Iran, Hezbollah and the new Syrian regime are so sincere for Islam then they should join hands and focus on the real enemy which is Israel and the US.
Allah Almighty says in the Quran
"Do not let the people of virtue and affluence among you swear to suspend donations to their relatives, the needy, and the emigrants in the cause of Allah. Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love to be forgiven by Allah? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." [Surah An-Nur verse 22]
There are also couple of Hadith of Prophet Muhammad regarding not having grudges for others.
Hadith no.202
Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Prophet SAW said, "Do not harbour grudge against one another, nor jealousy, nor enmity; and do not show your backs to one another; and become as fellow brothers and slaves of Allah. It is not lawful for a Muslim to avoid speaking with his brother beyond three days." [Riyad us Saliheen 1567]

Hadith no.203
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah SAW said:
The gates of Paradise will be opened on Mondays and on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be said: Delay these two until they are reconciled; delay these two until they are reconciled. It was related by Muslim (also by Malik and Abu Dawud). [Hadith no.20 of 40 Hadith Qudsi by Imam Nawawi]
CEASEFIRE BETWEEN HAMAS AND ISRAEL
There were some of our brothers who argued that the ouster of Bashar has weakened Hamas but it is not true. After Bashar's removal Hamas still kept on fighting the Zionist state with bravery and courage. They have shown that even if you are weak but if you fight and keep resolute faith on Allah then Allah will grant you success. I also praise Hezbollah and Hassan Nasrullah(May Allah forgive him) as well for there courage. All the Muslim countries who possess much more military and financial resources then Hamas and Hezbollah like Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and UAE etc. These all should be ashamed for there cowardice and hypocrisy that they have shown in the case of Palestine. The difference is that they don't fear Allah but they fear the US more then Allah. Indeed Hamas, Hezbollah and those who fought against Israel and Bashar's brutality are our role models. They are the ones doing Jihad and are much better then those who just do nothing while criticising them unjustly.
Allah says in the following verses of Surah al-Baqarah
"Fight in the cause of Allah ˹only˺ against those who wage war against you, but do not exceed the limits. Allah does not like transgressors." [Verse no.190]
"Kill them wherever you come upon them and drive them out of the places from which they have driven you out. For persecution is far worse than killing. And do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they attack you there. If they do so, then fight them—that is the reward of the disbelievers." [Verse no.191]
"But if they cease, then surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." [Verse no.192]
Allah also says in the Quran
"And what is it with you? You do not fight in the cause of Allah and for oppressed men, women, and children who cry out, “Our Lord! Deliver us from this land of oppressors! Appoint for us a saviour; appoint for us a helper—all by Your grace.” [Surah an-Nisa verse no.75]
In another verse Allah says
"Those believers who stay at home—except those with valid excuses—are not equal to those who strive in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has elevated in rank those who strive with their wealth and their lives above those who stay behind ˹with valid excuses˺. Allah has promised each a fine reward, but those who strive will receive a far better reward than others." [Surah An-Nisa verse 95]
Has Hamas succeeded or failed?
There are some muslims who argue that Hamas has failed while they also say that Gaza has been destroyed due to Hamas's stupidity. I don't think so before 7th of October 2023 all the Muslim countries like UAE, Saudia Arabia and Pakistan were on the brink of recognizing Israel. UAE had already done so and Türkiye had trade deals with them. It was like most of the Muslim nations had forgotten Palestinians but if you look now everything has changed. No Muslim country now has the courage to establish bilateral ties with Israel because of fear of protests in there own countries. Türkiye has suspended ties and Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have also backed away from establishing ties with Israel. The ties with UAE have been affected a bit. The Abraham accords have been affected to a large extent and this all has to do with the resilience of the Palestinians against Israelis. Huge protests have erupted in the US and Europe. Protesters in the US and various European nations demand to suspend aid to Israel. Ireland and Spain have suspended ties with Israel. If you look at this picture then you would see that the Palestinians and Hamas have succeeded because they have exposed Hypocrisy of Politicians and Media in the Muslim world and in the West as well. They have shown to the world how brutal and inhumane Isreal is. Those more then 61000 martyred Palestinians along with Hamas with there faith on Allah, bravery and resilience have inspired people around the world to rise up against the 'Taghut' no matter how weak they are. They are the ones actually doing Jihad. It is indeed a test for the entire Ummah and those 61000 Palestinians who have been martyred are the ones who have succeeded while the rest of the Muslims are so far not doing well in this test.
Allah says in the Quran about those who embrace martyrdom
"Never say that those martyred in the cause of Allah are dead—in fact, they are alive! But you do not perceive it." [Surah al-Baqarah verse no.154]
"And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allāh as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision," [Surah al-Imran verse no.169]
"Rejoicing in what Allāh has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve." [Surah Al-Imran verse no.170]
MESSAGE TO THOSE MUSLIMS WHO WERE HAPPY FOR TRUMP'S RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN
There were many Muslim voters in the US who were happy for Trump being re elected thinking that he might end the war in Gaza. Now they all have been betrayed by Trump because now he is even more pro-Israel then he was during his first term. There were also some Muslim leaders and Muslims in Muslims countries who were happy for Trump thinking that he would be different then Biden. They have all been betrayed and this all shows the Political immaturity and naive of most Muslims. My queation that how could you be so blind? Wasn't it Trump who established the Abraham accords and recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital? Weren't many of Trump donors who sponsored his election campaign Zionists? So how could you expect that he would be so different from Biden? No matter how much difference Western countries and Western Politicians have with each other but on killing innocent people and colonizing other countries especially Muslims they are all on the same page. Allah also says regarding this in the Quran;
"Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah , except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination." [Surah al-Imran verse no.28]
Indeed all of those Muslims who supported Trump made a grave mistake but they can seek forgiveness from Allah because he is All-Forgiving and All-merciful. They can repay for this mistake by opposing Trump's current plan of displacing 2 million Palestinians by using all the resources available to them, by coming out on streets and protesting and other best possible means that are necessary.
